Can’t wait for the tried and true tradition of Notre Dame making the CFP and losing, badly

They did not look like the same hard nosed physical team they have been the past couple of years that’s for sure.  But with that gift of a schedule they’ll be there…can’t lie though seeing them drop a game or two and being left out again would be amusing. Good luck if you try and take your ball and go home again…

I have done a full 180.  As a kid I had Notre Dame wallpaper and a Notre Dame starter jacket.  I also had a Ron Powlus jersey (lol)

As an adult I got my MBA from USC, but honestly I hate what both schools stand for in the sports world which is ultimately just being the entitled favorite by the committees.  Always getting a free pass and the benefit of the doubt.  As a college football fan, I'm a free agent.

May I interest you in the Beavs? Relatively regional conference of like minded schools (they all have the same last name!) in a college town; checks the boxes for what made college football special at it's core.  When things are bad you rally by saying beavers are builders so better days ahead.

I doubt Notre Dame would agree with your assessment based on their exclusion from the playoffs last year. They'd probably tell you their decision to stay independent cost them, as the "free pass" and "benefit of the doubt" went to those in a powerful league -- notably lower-ranked Miami and 3-loss Alabama.

Obviously it was ND's choice to remain independent, which financially benefits them, but it's hard to dispute that it costs them in the current CFP format which rewards league membership.

Not wrestling but a series full of interviews, fight, training footage of lots of former wrestler/mma guys is vice tv's Darkside of the Cage.

Season two is running now and has episodes on don frye, mark coleman, chael sonnen, Tito Ortiz, and randy couture seems to have something to say about everyone it seems

I have Hulu and it has vice channel so it costs nothing extra. Check your provider or search the web, it's 2026

They put in a rule starting this year if ND is ranked in the top 12, they get an automatic bid.

Yea the fact that ND could bully their way into that stipulation is insane…but it lets the committee know what they need to do.

They should start ND at #13 for the first CFP standings, the only move them up if they beat a team ahead of them.

I like it but all they’d have to do is beat Miami…they have an absolute joke of a schedule. Only ranked teams are BYU, Miami and SMU.

If they beat Miami, the likely ACC champs, and haven’t lost to any of the crap teams they play, they probably deserve to be in…

I don’t think there’s anyway they aren’t in regardless…they’d be 11-1 with the sole loss to Miami and they aren’t leaving an 11-1 team out.
