You realize skulls and crossbones have been used for a lot of different purposes, right?  They weren’t exclusive to Nazis

Except it’s a confirmed Nazi tattoo.

You do understand that is a Nazi SS tattoo? I man, it really is, despite the fact that some people like to pretend it is not.

And it is an absolutely vile person...

Wait do you actually think he has any Nazi beliefs?  Everything he has said, including his Reddit posts, has been explicitly anti-Nazi.  If you’re referring to the recent allegations, they went digging for dirt and the best they could find is someone that worked for the Heritage foundation saying he grabbed her arm once.  He’s not perfect, but he’s probably a better person than about 90% of the current senators.

Getting a tattoo like that is an indicator that he cannot be trusted to make good decisions.

Judging from other statements that he has 100% made, I would definitely put him in the bottom 10% of senators.

Yes he has been consistently anti-Nazi.  Fact.

You’ve yet to answer this.   It’s been asked a ton of times.

How does one find the Nazi tattoo on the wall at the tattoo parlor.   It’s highly illegal where he got it to have an insignia like that on the wall.   You must be friendly with Nazi types to even get to show that to you as an option.

A you confirmed he was beyond black out drunk.   He stumbles or was carried into a tattoo joint asked for an illegal tattoo and the tattoo guy is like sure??????  ….   That seems kosher let’s do it?

Not when he got that tattoo he wasn't lol

And look at you try to change the subject because you are fine with him having an SS tat!

Change the subject?  Huh?  The subject is whether or not he’s a Nazi.  I’m stating the fact that he’s been constantly anti-Nazi.  Anyone with at least half a brain (which might exclude the last 3 respondents here including you) knows he’s not a Nazi.  The only legitimate argument is whether him not realizing it resembled a Nazi symbol sooner should be disqualifying.

You don’t think he actually knew it resembled a Nazi symbol when he got it do you?  This really isn’t a very common symbol and most everyone legitimate that I’ve seen acknowledges that it’s not widely known.

So you’re ok with him being a blithering moron ….. and getting elected to Congress.

You were talking about ICE and the subject is "Now Nazi tattoos are cool"

It also doesn't resemble a Nazi symbol.  It IS a Nazi symbol.

If you have ever seen "Sisu," it is very prominent on the final boss's uniform, for instance.

That conversation started because I was answering a question posed to me by @mspart

I don’t think we know this for sure.  All I’ve seen is a blurry image.  But if you think it is, answer this question please:  do you think he knew it was when he got it?

Local radio guy does an over exaggerated voice imitation of Platner.   One caller said it sounded like the cockroach in Men in Black.   And in fact, it really does.    I hear that and I think Maine is about to vote for a cockroach for the Senate.

Do you know he didn’t request a swastika and settled for this when the artist refused?

No.  But I don’t think he did that.  I’m trying to determine if @Interviewed_at_Weehawken actually thinks Platner knew it at the time he got it.  I suspect he’ll avoid the question

Sorry- I had to work and train! Some things you might want to consider!

Of course he knew what it was.  He's a smart guy- but a bad guy.  He also knew history, esp. military history.  He thought it was cool, and perhaps a little funny.  There are now multiple reports that he knew exactly what it was.

Just like you know what it is, but ignore all the implications.

How do you feel about "working class" Platner having his home and "business" bought by Mommy and Daddy? And his business is basically an extension of Moomy's business?

Lol, this can’t be a serious answer, no point responding to you about other questions.

1.  There are no reports I’m aware of that he knew what it was at the time he got it.   I believe I’ve seen 2 reports claiming he knew what it was at some point.  One was from a former employee of the Heritage Foundation, and 1 was from an anonymous person who said they knew Platner from DC during a time that Platner said he didn’t live there.

2.  I didn’t know what it was until this story came out, and I’m confident that’s true for about 90%+ of the country, probably including you.

lol... go run away little fella... can't handle the heat..

2. About the only thing I share in common with Herr Platner, is that I am also a student of military history.  I actually have a Masters in History.  I certainly knew what it was.

Cool, congrats on being part of what I’d estimate is less than 10% of the country, as it probably is comprised of people who studied a lot of history. I’m skeptical Platner was that when he was a 20-something Marine.  Later, maybe.

If you insist.  Neither his business nor his home were bought by his parents, that is a lie.  I don’t see anything about assistance from family on starting the business and he received a loan from his father for the home.  Unless you go around telling people that your home was actually bought by your mortgage company?

Yes, looks like his mother’s restaurant is his largest customer.    Sounds kinda like what Red Lobster did, probably not unusual in that area.   OMG he embellished his resume a little, welcome to politics!  Could be worse, he could be George Santos.

Any evidence of him repaying Daddy?  If not, Daddy bought it...

Sounds really fit for a Senator, but for some reason, you love the guy with the Nazi tattoo.
