And as far as Mamedov losing. I always wonder what the training environments become for these people leaving Russia. Seems like the depth of practice room competition would be difficult to replicate.

up until the last year (or 2), russian transfers were still allowed to train with the russian federation...

not so much anymore...

Feel like I'm going to make a youtube video breakdown of my "feels" for worlds this year, contenders, pretenders, and people you should know.  Seems like a fun project to take up my some of my summer.

And I hate the bullet point, "Only known guys" approach, most of the outlets take.

He also cheated when he placed 3x consecutively at 57 in 2018-19-20 Euros, and when he was in a medal match at 2019 worlds, and when he went into the 2020ne Olympics as the top seed at 57.

If that was a US greco resume it would be wrestler of the decade

the simple fact of the matter is that entire serbian squad in free and greco all performed the best they had ever at those worlds and none of them have ever wrestled the same weight again...

i talked to a competitor after he got back and just asked him what he thought because a bunch of competitors openly questioned what the hell was going during the toruney...

he said he was in line with everyone else and the whole serbian team left the line and walked into a room and they all came out a few minutes later and left the  area...
