  1. Past hour
  2. Anything new from today’s podcasts? Or just an endless rehash with lots of repetition, complaints about lack of concrete info, and parroting of excuses?
  3. Since Carl has said nothing maybe you could formulate his press release for us?
  4. You may be the only human on earth with this belief.
  5. I would follow that line. He did exactly what @Interviewed_at_Weehawken did and then changed a few small details to cover his tracks. Maybe he’s bad at cheating lol. It’s not like he had to do anything hard in college to get his degree. I can’t imagine they’re writing term papers for that major.
  6. Not dunking on him at all. I was dunking on your self righteous remark stereotyping Iranians as cheaters. Personally I don’t care one way or another about Aaron Brooks.
  7. Agree with flyingcement and Hammerlock3 on WKN's status as best poster ever. Thought provoking and entertaining is a great combination.
  8. Nickerson (Simmons, Donahoe) and Schultz (DeAna, Banach) each have two. Leen only has one (Gillespie). And surprisingly, Meredith has zero, though he does have a pair of wins over #2 seeds.
  9. It's probably spelled correctly, but we've all been saying it incorrectly the entire time. It's actually pronounced like "Kyle." Then we get a whole Garry, Jerry, Barry, Larry, Terry storyline... :
  10. I explained the situation to Chat GPT and asked it to formulate an excuse for a press release (I didn't mention Brooks by name, but said he was religious): To my supporters, teammates, and the sporting community, It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that a recent USADA test found a banned substance in my system. I want to be completely transparent about the circumstances that led to this. Earlier this year, I underwent a minor orthopedic procedure and was hospitalized with pneumonia. During my recovery, I turned to various over-the-counter supplements to support my healing process — all of which I purchased legally and in good faith from a local grocery store. Unfortunately, one of those supplements contained a substance prohibited by Olympic standards, though it is legally sold and available to the general public. I take full responsibility for what has happened. I did not check thoroughly enough with my medical and nutrition team, and for that, I am deeply sorry. I would never knowingly or intentionally compromise the integrity of sport or disrespect the values I hold dear. As a devout Christian, I turn to scripture during this difficult moment: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:2-3 This is a test I did not expect, but I accept it with humility and faith. I will cooperate fully with USADA and any governing bodies to resolve this matter justly. To the young athletes who look up to me: let this be a reminder to remain vigilant. Always read every label, and seek wisdom in every choice, even the ones that seem minor. I am committed to clearing my name through the proper channels and, more importantly, continuing to live and compete with integrity, passion, and purpose. Thank you for your prayers and continued support.
  11. I first thought Jordan Leen, then I thought the title thread was sort of a clue- So maybe a Heavyweight? McMIllan?
  12. Incredible, seemed to happen quicker than I thought it would. Hope he has a strong recovery!
  13. Thought this was another CStarr thread ... carry on.
  14. On a world scale wrestling seems to have low recreational and performance enhancing drug scandals in the United States. I think we as Americans just stay ahead of what can be tested for better than other countries until a substance becomes banned its technically not illegal it guess
  15. Good guess on Wright, but he had "only" two wins over #1 seeds (Honeycutt, Kilgore) to go with three wins over #2 seeds. And surprisingly Jaggers had a single win over a #1 seed (Mendes)
  16. Today
  17. @PortaJohn has a whole song about it ... don't know why he hasn't released it.
  18. Star was just growing the sport by getting ideas for a womens wrestling program?
  19. Is it possible he just went to Wegmans to get fish oil for his dad ... and well ... we know the rest of the story ...
  20. I think it's reasonable for him to be in the top 50 cruiserweights or beat someone in top 50. A rematch w fury would be very winnable. I agree he isn't a title contender right now. Props for making the fat cash though. Since so many people want to watch him or have interest. Look at us here talking about this guy.
