  2. To your original question about what would be the ideal wrestling body type, I think it's pretty evident being long and lanky is not ideal. And I would say much less ideal in freestyle than in folk where the long guys usually thrive on top. Likewise, Chance is a true anomaly with his body type. I never believed he would be legitimately competitive at 86kg at 5'7".
  3. What does anything Biden may have done have to do with Trump not knowing or understanding one of the core duties of his office? Nobody has been able to answer that.
  4. No it's like 17 pounds difference that's just too much. 74kg = 174 lbs
  5. Just when you think the liberal media couldn't get any dumber, they do this. Unbelievable.
  6. This is a man-made crisis created by Joe Biden and his Democrat buddies. You have 15 million illegal immigrants here because of Joe. You have court dates sometime in the next 20 years. You have no addresses and no phone numbers to contact them. How will we ever find them? While we were busy processing them in at the border more than likely you had over 1 million got-aways. They are the dangerous (really bad Hombres) that are security risks to millions of American citizens. What is your solution to right this wrong?
  7. One thing no one else points out is that Trump sits down the the press on a regular basis. His predecessor, the most open admin as was said at the beginning, barely spoke to the press. At least Trump talks with the press and it behooves one to take his comments in context with what is being discussed. Trump could be talking about the plight of African elephants and really wanting to save them while the African leaders are saying they need to be culled. He could end up saying - "I don't care what the africans think" referring to killing elephants rather than saving elephants. The press would shout from the rooftops, Trump doesn't care what Africans think, and leave it at that. No context, no understanding of what is being talked about. That is where this is at right now. mspart
  8. Not saying he won’t consider other schools, I just don’t see him ultimately choosing anyone over Iowa. I may be completely wrong, but that’s just my guess. I definitely believe those 3 guys go to those schools, easy guess tbh.
  9. Iran announced GR wrestlers for the ranking event in Mongolia https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJPN5GGI0bZ/?igsh=NjZiM2M3MzIxNA==
  10. I knew that when I responded, and debated whether to qualify my statement, or not (3 out of 4). I decided to not qualify, but am torn. The tie breaker for me was I could not find any international achievements for Branch. This is certainly not a hill I would choose to die on, more of a hair split on what constitutes THE top. As an aside, I love that his bio on the Wyoming website barely even mentions that he wrestled. There is paragraph after paragraph about the athletes he coached and coaching achievements, but only a few sentences about his wrestling.
  11. Excellent job. You are a voice of factual reason!!!!!
  12. Mark Branch went 1-2-2-1 @ the NCAA's????? He actually went into the NCAA's his freshman year with a losing record.
  13. Don't confuse him with logic. You might find yourself next in line to get snapped like a toothpick.
  14. Dammit Jimmy, you've done it again. Always asking the questions others dare not to ask. A lion amongst sheep. Kings stay kings, Jimmy. Never change.
  15. Today
  16. Askren was 19-2 in his MMA career. He was away from the game for a year and a half before his first UFC fight, where he beat a former champ then #6 ranked Robbie Lawler who was brutal. Askren got destroyed to start out that fight and he came back and won. Bo took a modest amount of damage by MMA standards and wilted. Askren was a champ like a dozen times over in Bellator and ONE. The guys he was beating for those belts were better than anyone Bo has beaten.
  17. Askren is better. You believe this to be true...
  18. I think Bo has a better UFC record than Askren did. Askren got beaten to a pulp in 2 of his 3 UFC fights. Bellator is the MMA equivalent of D3.
  19. is 74 kg close enough to 157 to ramp up the speculation that Caliendo (registered at 74) is cutting down for his final NCAA season?
  20. Should Jimmy Cinnabon retire from this forum?
  21. Does he still love God and his son The Lord?
  22. The Russian criticism of the US approach is that it’s too focused on conditioning/physicality, and not enough on technique/strategy. And they consistently prove that criticism to be true each World Championship/Olympics. This refutes the whole argument that success in wrestling is purely or mostly conditioning based.
  23. haha. i love it cinnabon!
  24. Bo's was worse... Nickal has to hope to have as good a career as Askren.
  25. The rule reads that the injury occurs before the start of the second half of the season, which is the 10th date for wrestling, AND the injury occurs when the athlete has not participated in more than 30% of eligible dates, which in wrestling is defined as six. He is fine on the number of competition dates (four) but his last competition date was the eleventh for the team, so he participated in the second half of the season. Given that, I am not sure how he gets another year for 2024.
