I was an avid Howard stern fan since 1990…. When he went to satellite it changed radio forever. I bought a lifetime Sirius xm subscription solely for his program. I don’t listen to it anymore. I was a big fan until around COVID when he became overly political. Maybe it’s because he’s old who knows. But he became what he made fun of and dominated for years. A similar boring version of don Imus.

He stood up pretty well when he got shot. We don’t need any stories about anyone you’ve known being shot.

There are problems with the late night format beyond getting political. Colbert leaned into political commentary more than any of them and he was leading in the ratings. Fallon who was mostly apolitical fell behind both. I like Kimmel more 10-15 years ago and I thought Colbert was excellent on his Report.

The advertisers were putting pressure on the network to reel him in. You can't insult 50% of the country, make devisive comments, then lose access to 36000000 homes and expect to reach potential customers with your adds. Kimmel was told to apologize and he refused so they sent his money pit show to the chopping block. It's sad because all he needed to do to turn it around was develop some talent, gain a likeable personality, get new writers, and become funny.

Well a simple investigation tells me it's basically a load of crap. He didn't say the guy who attacked was a patriot, he said someone who is a Patriot should bail him out so he can interview him. So basically you're wrong.

My mom's husband was in Vietnam. He passed away several years ago, due to cancer from something he was around over there. He had some violent dreams where he'd sometimes wake up and think he was still there. We never knew exactly what he did there. He always said he was a clerk, but sometimes he would tell these very vivid stories about his experience, I think maybe he just didn't want my mom to know, so I always figured he had done some pretty bad things over there. He just never told me what he really was doing. And I know he was disillusioned with war after being there. He also hated Trump with a passion. His reason is pretty much the same as mine. Trump talks tough, says he knows more about the military than anybody, criticized the military when he wasn't in office, makes stupidly bold claims and denigrates actual war heroes like McCain. Yet when he was presented with a chance to back it up, and I think we can all pretty much guess Trump's personality isn't much different than it was, he chickened out. McCain served and he could have avoided it. If Biden had said the same things, or even Clinton, the right wouldn't have let them hear the end of it. Yet Trump acts like he's a tough guy when he is just a coward.

The Sohrabi match was an absolute disgrace. Ghanem continuously hit him and made him bleed causing them to run out of injury time so Ghanem won by medical forfeit. The medical staff didn't stop the bleeding in time and just tried to wipe it off when they should have put tape around it from the beginning. Why that isn't protocol from the start I don't know. I have a hard time finding fault with anyone who tried to stay out of going to Vietnam. The worst military debacle in American history. 58,281 names on the Wall in Washington DC. Over 94,000 Vietnam vets died from suicide after coming home. Over 300,000 died from being sprayed with Agent Orange and ingesting it in their food and water. To top it off they were treated (by Americans) like dirt when they arrived home from Vietnam. The way our leadership had our military fight the war the war was criminal. Read up on it. One of the awards I received in high school was in honor of a former wrestler who was killed in Vietnam.
