I agree with you, it seems. Below are their Wrestlestat rankings, which we all know are actually ratings based off results. Keep in mind, they don't include true frosh, who tend to not have any matches towards their ratings - so guys like DLock won't have anything to go off of at 165lbs. I always want the teams who are typically lower on the B1G totem poll to show out and get pretty good improvement. That said, this appears to be a saltier dual squad than individual. Wrestlestat Rankings (ratings): 125 - #16 Moran 133 - #66 Frazier 141 - #39 Porter 149 - #61 Butler 157 - #41 Lowery 165 - #20 Lillard 174 - #29 Gilcher/#66 Rogotzke 184 - #14 Goin 197 - #12 Sollars 285 - #43 Pavlechko Five NQ looks about right with that roster. I could see two more as a maybe, but that would have to mean everyone is healthy at the right time of the year and improving at a more drastic rate than their B1G counterparts. Both of those holding as true by the end of the season are rarely the case, unless you are Penn State, or Michigan's Team #100 and B1Gs are at home.

Has a high school ever had a better big 3 than McCort?

Not projecting success, just merely stating that Davison's 2005 team had 11 people who went on to wrestle D1 starting for them that season. Would have had 12 had one of the twins not essentially retired out of HS. Don't recall why he did that, but 11/14 is rather impressive. Only two (Metcalf/Reader) would have been in consideration for P4P discussions. -

On Sunday evening, Penn State received its first commitment from a wrestler in the Class of 2027. Gavin Mangano (Shoreham-Wading River, NY), the #13 overall prospect in the junior class, has committed to the four-time defending national champions. Mangano is currently ranked sixth in the nation at 138 lbs. Mangano is a two-time New York DII state finalist. He won a title in 2025 at 138 lbs after finishing as a runner-up during his freshman year. Next month, Mangano will be in action at the Super 32. In 2024, he finished sixth at the tournament, competing at 132 pounds. His entry in 2025 is at 138 lbs. Additionally, Mangano was an NHSCA Freshman national champion in 2024 and took third place in the 16U freestyle division last year at Fargo. Mangano could project at the 141-157 lb range for Penn State, which would be needed. While the upperweights for the Nittany Lions are overflowing with talent, there is less in the pipeline at the middleweights. Mangano is the latest product of Khaled Dassan (KD Training Center) to select the Nittany Lions. PJ Duke and Rocco Welsh are already on the Penn State roster and U17 world champion Jayden James is slated to join PSU from the Class of 2026. Before committing to Penn State, Mangano also took trips to Cornell, NC State, and North Carolina. For all of the Class of 2027 commitments: Click Here

Not trying to be a d*ck, but who is an AA candiate on that team? Lillard is tough, but he would have to wrestle out of his mind to AA, he could qualify. Porter, Moran, they are ok, Gilcher is tough, but again, no way he will AA.

So the answer is no, right? You can’t get much better than #1, 2, and 3 pound for pound. We are judging some others off of their college results, but just looking at what they’ve done in high school, these guys would be tough to beat -

This is why it's pointless to provide references or facts. I'll demonstrate: 1. Someone with opposing views of MAGA makes intelligent post 2. MAGA "prove it! Sources???" 3. Poster provides sources, facts, figures backing up their post 4. MAGA - "I don't believe it! This is BS! I don't trust the facts!!!" Rinse and Repeat... This is the result of the rights war on education/intelligence over the last 25+ years... Make the people incapable of critical thinking and bask in the dumbing of America as political supporters. Wasn't Trump even quoted saying (paraphrasing) "I love dumb people" "Smart people don't like me" -

Y’all forget about Cade Olivas winning a state title with Zahid and Anthony at St John Bosco. Concussions did Olivas in but he was the next sure big thing. -
Yep. Twitter, such a reliable source of information.

No. Not at all. I was referring to one specific thing. YOU, on the other hand, seem to misunderstand the difference between taking "things" out of context and taking a single thing out of context. It's essentially the difference between a puddle and an ocean. -
