  9. One of the stars from the inaugural Real American Freestyle card is back as a match with Kyle Dake was announced for next month’s RAF 02 card. The four-time world champion and two-time Olympic medalist will take on two-time world medalist Boris Makoev. Makoev was a world finalist in 2017 at 86 kg and a bronze medalist in 2022 at the same weight class. During his run to the 2017 world finals, Makoev defeated J’den Cox 6-3 in the semifinals. In 2022, Makoev fell to Iran’s Hassan Yazdani in the semis. At the 2025 World Championships, Makoev fell in the Round of 32 to Zahid Valencia’s eventual finals opponent Hayato Ishiguro, by the score of 8-4. He was then beaten by Ukraine’s Mukhammed Aliiev, 14-4. Last year, Makoev competed at 92 kg and earned a silver medal at the European Championships, which was his best placement at the event. Although Makoev is Russian, he has represented Slovakia in international competitions since 2017. The four-time national champion from Cornell, Dake, added another honor to his long list of career achievements in August when he teched Dean Hamiti at RAF 01 for the Cruiserweight title. 2025 marked the first time since 2017 that Dake was not on a World or Olympic team. His US Open and Final X losses to Zahid Valencia look much better considering the fact that Valencia ran through the world championships without surrendering a single point. Dake won’t have to travel far for RAF 02 as the event takes place in his adopted hometown - State College, Pennsylvania. The event will take place on the Penn State University campus at the Bryce Jordan Center. With the Dake/Makoev match added to the RAF 02 card, it now looks like this: Cruiserweight (190 lbs) - Kyle Dake vs. Boris Makoev Women’s Flyweight (120 lbs) - Helen Maroulis vs. Samantha Stewart Open - Keelon Jimison vs. Cayden Henschel Heavyweight (Unlimited) - Patrick Downey III vs. Jake Varner Bantamweight (135 lbs) - Nathan Tomasello (champ) vs. Roman Bravo-Young Heavyweight (Unlimited) - Mason Parris vs. Aleksandr Romanov

  11. Today
  12. I just made a grilled cheese with gouda, munster, american, cheddar, havarti, red pepper, tomato, onion, and pickled jalapenos on slices of Costco's rustic itlaian loaf (fantastic bread) prepared in a panini press. Damn good. I can feel my bones getting denser already.
  13. Cornell needs some good surprises, its been awhile.
  14. I don't think he has dementia. Maybe like a traumatic head injury or his mom tried to drown him and failed.
  15. Sometimes I think this forum is 3 people with 2-3 aliases each arguing with themselves.

  17. 25 million in good good censorship dollars. Which censorship was worse? Jimmy Kimmel or this one? ….. This makes Alphabet-owned YouTube the last of the three Big Tech social media companies sued by Trump — which included Meta and then Twitter, now called X — to settle over his removal from their platforms.

  19. Oh jimmy... Keep being you my man. I do worry about dementia setting in sooner than later so have at it while you can!
  20. Compared to Dems having no policy but a wide open border and making it ok to be in the women’s bathroom with a penis.
  21. It’s still humorous to me that the people that call themselves educated and smart need the people they call uneducated and stupid to pay for their education. You can’t make it up.
  22. Poor little Jimmy just can't stand immigrants who aren't white being smarter than him. Then again that's not exactly a high bar to clear, but they're soaring over it.
  23. I actually know firsthand about some of that. A friend of mine years ago was in a bar and I don't know exactly how things went, but he got involved in a fight or argument and the person he was arguing with had a friend who blindsided him over the head with a beer mug. Police came and it turned out the mug wielding assailant was only 19 and had used a fake ID. He got charged with aggravated assault, but my friend ended up settling before a lawsuit was filed against the bar. For years he'd laugh because it made something of a small but permanent indent on his head. So yes bars absolutely can be held liable. The main thing, at least here anyway, that can be done is the liquor control board can take their liquor license away. They can literally walk in and take it away and close up a bar on the spot. Some bars and nightclubs nearby where I live now have in the past been out of control with fights and other problems and they get it taken away if they don't fix problems. There was a bar not far away that had been paying a promoter to bring people in, and he had been bringing in mostly underage ASU students. The bar looked the other way because they made so much money, but they got busted. The short answer is yes, bars can face serious problems for letting that happen. In my friend's case, they found out the kid who hit him was there a lot, I don't know how they found that out, so it was established the bar knew he wasn't 21 but let him drink there anyway. It's not like Mexico where they serve you if you can see over the bar. Or once I was refused entry to a beach side bar because I had an open beer, so naturally they made me chug it before they let me in.
