  2. Agreed - we have different perspectives on this issue. I do not agree with yours. Specifically: "Iran WAS building nuclear weapons." - this is, in no way, a fact. Per recent US Intelligence: Tulsi Gabbard left no doubt when she testified to Congress about Iran’s nuclear program earlier this year. The country was not building a nuclear weapon, the national intelligence director told lawmakers, and its supreme leader had not reauthorized the dormant program even though it had enriched uranium to higher levels. "Hamas, Hezbollah, the attack on Israel that set everything off. It's...all starting in Iran." - No evidence. These groups that run middle eastern countries are more like a bunch of connected mob bosses than anything else. Hamas, Hezbollah, the Ayatollah - do govern, but don't represent the citizens. To say it "started in Iran" is nonsense. Warlords and terrorist organizations have lorded over these countries for many decades. What ails the middles east is their existence. But to pinpoint that existence to Iran is ignorant. "Iran WANTS us dead." They will hit back, they were going to hit back anyway, but their military is pathetic relatively speaking. They are impotent. They can't do anything. Here is where you're again wrong. Iranian citizens don't want us dead. But the proxies the Iranian government employs absolutely do. It's not the Iranians, it's the Houthi's, etc. Iran has a significant amount of military weaponry at their disposal. Much like the US has been the supplier of weapons to the west - Iran has been a major supplier to the east. They are nowhere near impotent. Those they have been supplying to are being very vocal at the moment to defend Iran (ex: Russia.) "I thought this was the right move." I disagree. Just own it when we find you are wrong. I'll do the same. "he's not going to take out the Ayatollah" He's not going to do anything that isn't served up to him on a silver platter by people who already made the hard decisions. Because he's a mush brain who isn't capable of any independent decision making - just following those he thinks he can trust (like Putin, at least at one point.) If someone talks to him the right way... he'll do something neither of us could imagine. "Israel should stop at this point, but this just isn't the massive military engagement it's being made out to be." Have you not been paying attention to what N'yahoo has been saying? Now that I think about it - you must not be paying attention. Israel isn't looking to cut and run. They're in it for the long haul. Read more. Think more. This is exactly the massive military engagement it is being made out to be. WW3 is a stretch, but not by much. "Will it draw the US into a protracted Miltary Engagement? I don't think so..." The US is committed at this point. We won't be "drawn in" - we already drew ourselves in. That is done. You must be young and full of positive energy to not see the sorry spot we're in. The truth is that this situation has all the earmarking's of a long, ugly, and potentially devastating event. Who will it be "devastating" to? That remains to be seen. But as is always in war, nobody wins, everybody loses. And it's all started by those with the least to lose.

  4. We were wrong, iran will be at worlds
  5. this explains so much about you
  6. Re; his approval rating, there are...a lot of antisemites in this country. I don't think it'd drop that much(though I get 0 was hyperbolic). I guess we just disagree on this issue. I mean, Trump DID put himself between a "rock and a uranium place," by pulling out of the deal in 2018. But...lets set that aside and break it down; -Iran WAS building nuclear weapons. -We did NOT kill civilians, we targeted bunkers. -Iran is really at the heart of everything that ails the Middle East. -Hamas, Hezbollah, the attack on Israel that set everything off. It's...all starting in Iran. -Iran WANTS us dead. They will hit back, they were going to hit back anyway, but their military is pathetic relatively speaking. They are impotent. They can't do anything. You say he had a whole chessboard...and I'd love to trash Trump. He's a moron and most world leaders mock him. But they can't mock the US Military and...frankly... I thought this was the right move. I believe he pushed BACK on the Hawks, he's not going to take out the Ayatollah. Iran doesn't have the ability to hit back. It kinda seems like this is...over. Israel should stop at this point, but this just isn't the massive military engagement it's being made out to be. Consequential, certainly. Will it draw the US into a protracted Miltary Engagement? I don't think so...
  7. Are you really sure your "peak at the football spreadsheet" of a single collective told the full story? Some info here, here, here, here. While 52% of Division I athletes are people of color, they only received 16% of the total NIL compensation as of a couple years ago.
  8. Unfortunately, this one goes into the Hall of Fame of Most Desperate and Sad of all time. Reflects power? No. Reflects strength? No. Reflects intelligence? No. Reflects rational thought? No. Reflects the oldest US President ever elected with mush for brains who thinks he can fake his way through it? Yes.
  9. I don't know the realities of the situation but surely it is not hard to understand that someone could be generous with their money while simultaneously being legally cautious
  10. Why stop there? Since Iowa fans ALREADY think Bo's "not the right fit" explanation was "nasty," a "shot" against the Hawks, and "an unethical attack" against the most ethical program since the beginning of time, let's hope Bo now feels liberated to say EXACTLY why, in detail, Iowa not the right fit for what he wants in wrestling, what he wants as a person, and how they are not compatible with his faith journey. Details, Bo, details! They already think you're a liar and a traitor, so no reason to hold back now, right? Your 200K followers want to know! Explain in detail to all the up-and-coming recruits who idolize you, and don't leave out a single description of how Iowa fell short of your expectations. They burned the bridge, so what do you have to lose?
  11. It's someone who can shovel their own driveway...and it's about a quarter mile long. I mean, I don't...usually, but I'll shovel the walk way and stairs down to the lake. I can hire people to...plant my Garden. I just had to cut a couple trees down and pull out the stumps for a pole barn I put up. I COULD have hired someone... but why? Are you so soft you can't do anything? Hell, I enjoy going up to my land and cutting and chopping wood for the winter. But you seem soft...and I don't believe there's any world in which you actually have the money to do the things you claim or that you're retired. You sound too much like a child.
  12. Please, someone...SOMEONE explain to me why we're POSSIBLY looking down on someone who does honest work? Y'all are the biggest hypocrites I know. Not to mention, the TWO people I know who do work as snowplow drivers, they own their own businesses. My Neighbor...amazing dude, he has an excavating business and owns 40 acres of Land that's probably worth ~20-25M. Long-time Family friend(distant family by marriage actually). I grew up with his kids, he works hard. And he plows snow in the winter when it snows. And then another who has a roofing business, a former B1G Wrestler who also does very well. But lets just say he works for the City and that's his Primary job. When did the right get so condescending about a good job that's absolutely necessary? This is bizarre and honestly something I'd expect from a... moron College kid who has a trust fund and is studying art History.
  13. Not a good place? Where did he say Iowa is "not a good place"? I must have missed that. Can you quote that for me? All I saw was him saying it wasn't a good fit, which of course is entirely different since it isn't a qualitative judgment as "not a good place" is. If he said Iowa isn't a good place, then I'll agree he badmouthed them. I also missed where he said it wasn't a good place for him "as . . . a Christian". I'd agree it was harsh if he said Iowa isn't a good place for Christians. But all I saw is him saying it wasn't a good fit for his own faith journey, which is of course personal to Bo. The fact that Bo doesn't think Iowa is a good fit in more ways than one doesn't mean he's taking shots at Iowa. It just means there's a lack of fit on multiple levels. None of it judges Iowa in any way. No more than he previously found (implicitly) that every other program besides Iowa wasn't the right fit, since Iowa was. Come on Vak. If you find it necessary to twist the words of an 18 year old kid to make the case that he's badmouthing Iowa, then that should tell you his actual words don't get you there. Maybe that should be the point where you pause to say, hmmm, maybe this is just grapes at the kid's expense. You want to complain about his pop, I'll give you some sympathy, but you can't possibly think that Bo himself is out there taking shots at Iowa.
  14. Agreed. That's a pretty damning statement by Bo that could dissuade recruits for years. Many probably now believe Iowa isn't a good place for christians, aspiring Olympic champs, good people, etc solely because of his decommitment statement. Uncle Chael did go over the top but that's his shtick. He's not totally wrong imo tho.
  15. Trumps "approval rating"!? If Trump were to "easily" pull support for Israel - we'd be looking at the first very near zero rating ever. The Orange Liar put himself between a rock and a uranium place. Putin played him, N'yahoo played him, and even the war hawks in our military played him (and his dope appointee Hegseth.) Trump had a full chessboard in front of him, but he didn't know how to play. It was a bad choice for him to fake it. As said earlier... Trump's nearly 80 year old mush brain really put the US in a bad spot. I'm hoping for the best. We will see soon enough.
  16. Wasn't Carter Starocci the self proclaimed highed paid wrestler? Not saying it isn't true, but where's the evidence that there's some sort of racism at play with the NIL deals? Anecdotally, my buddy worked at Ohio State's collective, and I got a peak at the football spreadsheet. It was absurd with the numbers listed, but didn't look to be any discrimination going on with the names I saw.
  17. Well...technically, Korea. We're never signed a peace treaty, just a armistice and we're still in a "Military Engagement," with 8 or 9 Countries. But you know exactly what is meant by "forever" war. It's a quagmire in which we get bogged down with no discernible end game or clear end in sight. We JUST got out of two "forever" wars. We don't need to currently be in one to HOPE we don't "get into another forever war." I think this is different than Iraq and Afghanistan was always just...historical ignorance.
  18. You're pretty obsessed with this. I'm not accusing Trump of starting any War(though...YOU did accuse Biden of being responsible for two Wars and he fired no shots). But conflating drone strikes against terrorists with taking out a Countries ENTIRE Nuclear System with over a DOZEN 30,000 pound MOPs? Yeah, this isn't the argument you seem to think it is.
  19. I certainly understand why Jordan (or his PR team) thought it was the right move to deny knowing anything when the first story came out as the media could easily make him a scapegoat and try to destroy his political career. Jordan didn't do anything more or less than anyone else at the time it seems. The part for me that makes him a POS is bailing on his wrestlers, making phone calls to get others to denounce their claims, convincing Hellickson to renege on helping them get justice and zip his lip somehow, etc. They turned their back on the guys they were meant to defend through thick and thin to save face for his personal political aspirations.
  20. Both can be true. Trump is a well known liar and worried about his image. He's also terrified of being the President who makes a mistake like Bush did with Iran. I suspect there will be people who will say, as we did after the first Iraq War, we should have gone further and taken out the leadership. But...Trump doesn't want that. Now, lets look why each side would agree to peace. Iran-They are helpless in ANY manner of actual military conflict. Israel- They got what they wanted. They may want to go further, but-> The USA- Trump's approval rating has PLUMMETED from this. I'm honestly baffled as I...don't see this as an over the top of irrational act. But people don't like it, Trump cares about that. Trump also does not want War. Of all the issues I have with Trump, he's... about as anti-War President as we've had for...a while. I don't think Carter and Trump's name belong in the same sentence, but on this front...they may. So it's pretty simple. If Israel really wants to continue this, the USA can pull their support. You take away American support and not Israel becomes much more vulnerable and they risk EASILY their most important ally. This isn't so much Trump's negotiating skill, it's the full force of easily the world's strongest military. -I think the ceasefire will continue. It's a matter of Russia or another Country and that silly bluff to arm Iran. THAT...would be bad and lead to a Global conflict.
  21. Well Chael, as is his wont, went over the top. But you are really underselling Bo's statement. He said it's not a good place for him as a wrestler, a PERSON, or a Christian. I mean, really, you're running the Ricky Bobby "But I said with all due respect"defense.
  22. Why do you say only Nichols? Lots of independent wealthy boosters out there. But no, not Lubert. Lubert's a trustee, so PSU retains some control over him.
  23. Yeah, I just have a different opinion on this than you. When the Ayatollah took over, he took their most wealthiest business man and...strung him up like it was Rome. Let him hang. 80,000 Jews left, up to FIVE MILLION Iranians in total were ran from their homeland. So yeah, not only do I NOT believe they'd be upset, I believe they'd be celebrating it. I don't use anecdotal examples on here because...it's always too convenient and it always fits a person's preconceived narrative(though...I'm not exactly a Trump apologist I think you'll admit)... but I've just seen and spoken with SOO many people who've said things like "Iran isn't your enemy, the "Islamic Republic," is. The women there...not to keep going back to it, but they wore swimsuits and they drank and they went out and it was a prosperous country, Jews lived there without fear. They LOVED American Culture(hence the term "the White Revolution." All of that was stolen from them or their parents. I don't think the Cubans in the South of Florida would be upset if we bombed industrial sites. I think they'd rejoice. This isn't just "we bombed their homeland," this is "we bombed the land that they were run out of because the State wanted to rule with an Iron Fist and control how you could live your life and if you speak out(or spoke out) you could expect to be...executed.
  24. Willie didn't mention the # of days requirement, the 250 miles, the jealousy portion, or give the level of detail this post has. Thanks for sharing @Interviewed_at_Weehawken
  25. All of the ones he did... at the time. Same for GHW. Same for Clinton. Same for GW. Etc. etc. I don't play favorites. BUT we're living in the here and now. As interesting as history is, we've got a whole lot of bad on our hands right now - happening based on the actions the current administration is taking right now. Not a great time for serious people to try to bring up old political BS talking points. That'd be the wrong focus.
  26. Wouldn't surprise me if some version of those words came right out of Ma and Pa Bassett's mouth just before/after Brands yelled at them to not tell him how to run his program.
