    Yeah earlier I got into my feelings on that. To me (and I'm not semantically correct on this point), i wouldn't call him a hypocrite unless I thought he was being consciously dishonest when he brought up faith. I'm probably giving him more credit than most would at this point but I think he's just a dude who screwed up......however if someone asked me if I thought this was the first time, and how that affected my opinion I'd have to start squirming.

    I almost want to poll how important the fact that he is married is to people in this context, for me it makes it takes it from a 2 to a 6 on the bad person scale.

    Thats a decent theory but a completely useless one because you're making a distinction only his wife is qualified to make. If you're introducing it as a non sequitur fair enough...

    I get it, its the definition. I guess I just would like the word to serve those of us who speak specifically and not those who spam it while they imply that only perfect people can advocate virtue. But yeah probably stupid on my part.

    fair enough but i don't think thats a useful definition. Its like saying if you punch someone you are a hypocrite unless you like being punched. Also by this definition is snyder a hyporcrite forever? Really not hungry for a semantic argument just my take.

    And before someone breaks the work, "hypocrisy" would be if Snyder said he shouldn't be punished for this but other people should be. Erecting a moral standard that you yourself fail at is not hypocrisy.

    i think most of the people who know his name know it for that reason if thats enough, certainly the only reason i know it.
