  1. They should, the event is formatted specifically to make it friendly to that.
  2. He's such an "O'Doyle rules" dork.
  3. He's never played
  4. I assume it means he hasn't wrestled in a sense that could be considered both completely competitive and without any constraints not included in a typical match.
  5. "Can you introduce me to Peter Dinklage?"
  6. I'm really trying to clear the slate...mostly cause i'm way more grossed out by michigan now.
  7. its a take based on factors invisible to me.
  8. Just a feeling, Mullen compete's very "freely" (terminology I don't feel embarassed saying as opposed to "he has 'it'" or "gamer"), he's been a football player up until now, still see his tracjectory as steeply upward. On the other hand Feldman, who looked amazing in high school, hasn't started as fast as I would have hoped, and I'm happy to refer to it as prejudice, but I just don't think tOSU develops the talent they have as well as most top schools. Another example along the same vein that means nothing is kharchla. I predicted he would be a multiple champ, I saw him at fargo and his whose #1 match and was amazed at his the size of the angles he made off his own shots, didn't seem like he ever needed a second move to finish, then he committed to tOSU and my heart sank a little. Again thats just a narrative in my head its not an argument, but we're basically on here to get information and share our head narratives right?
  9. sure, is that a hot take?
  10. I'm taking Mullen
  11. I got a lot of tOSU prejudice, he's gotta prove it for me.
  12. Yeah Mullen seems to have "it", "finds a way"....the things dumb people say after someone wins. Feldman killed him in HS I'd be curious to see them in college.
  13. Parker Ferrel, Super 32 champ also in the room.
  14. I had heard there was but checked with more reliable sources and there was no wrestle off.
  15. after checking beyond the first thing I heard, that's correct no wrestle off.
  16. Shoulda started the "semantic arguments thread".
  17. but I thought the only notable thing about the comment was that it was contemptibly banal, defying the google definition.
  18. I have to point out that this just isn't true. Certainly few thought he'd beat tsargush but thats not the same as saying he's not a medal threat.
  19. whose gonna beat him? not that no one can but what warrants a 0%
  20. "a piece of commentary, typically produced quickly in response to a recent event, whose primary purpose is to attract attention." not sure that fits either of out definitions but I'm sure you're not anxious to hash out a definition.
  21. I didn't mean that you did, I was referencing my claim that someone saying the tranfers won't outplace themselves is hardly a "hot take".
  22. fair enough, but in the sense that you'd say 2/3 will out place their highest placement so far? I think I meant something more along the lines of "bashing iowa is so trendy right now that its hard to associate it with the mild amount of courage it takes to register a hot take"
  23. thats not a hot take, both because its 3 guys who've been in college too long and because no one on this forum is gonna stick up for Iowa anyway.
