  1. you are just being dishonest
  2. then what is your point with all this nonsense?
  3. And you claimed I said they invented it
  4. that's not what I said. I said a loose genre of attacks "seem to start there a trickle down". Meaning they'll likely be more familiar with Keck's tactics than say, Dustin Plott, who never seemed to know what keck was gonna do next.
  5. He hit it in the olympics not sure about all star meet. Other examples Brooks and taylor both take outside and inside step doubles, so its really hard to tell where their heads are going, and really hard even see unless you rewind it, and Retherford's only shot for years was a passive misdirection, nolf had the same shot but mixed in a lot of others...
  6. I'm not saying they have a monopoly, particularly on an outside step. Just saying if you wanted me to take a team and point out different guys taking those sort of shots no one else comes close.
  7. As much as I would love it, starocci's legs are so hard to get to. And Keckheisen's attacks, which are mostly what I would call passive misdirection, meaning they are very hard to react to because they are disguising which side of the body is being attacked and whether the attack are head inside or outside (outside step being the trendiest one currently) seem to start at PSU and trickle down.
  8. the retort is most golds wins....hard to argue with.
  9. made my day. hadn't thought about that.
  10. cstar retorted by challenging him to match at 141 and won the confrontation when Haines gave him a confused look.
  11. Starocci, like ferrari, is stupid.
  12. "What example of someone taking a job did we choose to inject drama into because we're superficial and stupid"
  13. How did tshirts and cox have a chance at 4? they didn't win as freshmen right?
  14. what a stupid topic
  15. Anyone who ever thought pro wrestling undermined real wrestling must have thought pro wrestling wasn't choreographed.
  16. I think the boot trap arm has too many moving parts to be as reliable as the aforementioned turns, and so much of your body is occupied by it its hard to transition without starting over.
  17. yeah exactly. Its like his problems in neutral, that technique if fine in itself, but if it's not making his opponent make any tough decisions it doesn't iterate that well.
  18. He also relied on his top work in both styles. Being good on top can make some other feel freer on their feet, others let it make them less active.
  19. relying on an inside trip is also a real problem because you can't really keep it in the match unless you're sort of "up" in your stance, which isn't gonna maximize leg attacks. Its the type of technique that should feel like a surprise to the whole room, therefore it doesn't really have a place in an someones overall style. His shrug is similar, its a great technique but if anything it stagnates other options. Compare that to John Smith's so single, which forced reactions, leaning, grabbing and made his elbows basically unstoppable.
  20. that was a good one
  21. How is he at about he same level as spencer lee now? How is 'if he can cut to 57' a fair qualifier for an argument?
  22. agreed. Taylor's attitude is a little off putting.
  23. are they still on bo bassett's recruiting list
  24. good for penn state. they don't like doing more than one match in a day
