  1. admittedly he needed a faster start to compare with those guys. I'm just saying that this win would give you enough to piece together some sort of frankenstein argument that he's the GOAT.
  2. He does have Garret Nijenhuis to wrestle with. Thats a 174 so not gonna push him, but the guy can definitely wrestle...easy to find too because him and Ferrari are the only non-californians i saw on the roster
  3. guess i just wanted to imply the different layers of "cementing"
  4. After he won his last worlds he said if it wasn't for him Yazdani would be the best ever, so he's the best ever. Then had all that exploded by turning out to not the best guy in the country at that time. He cemented his legacy as "great" when he won worlds the first time, but I'm pretty sure he wants to have claim to being the best ever to do it.
  5. It was a maybe when he made the team, now Saduleav is going....if he doesn't go I'm gonna be pissed. If Taylore beat him I'd put him back in the GOAT discussion.
  6. First 6 days of the week "1% better grounding! 1% better tooth brushing! Negative 100% study hall!"
  7. well thanks.
  8. did i do something dumb? or are you serious
  9. I have the sneaking suspicion he landed at CSUB because it was the only administration too apathetic to google him.
  10. You caught that he missed the entire practice right? that made it worth it for me.
  11. I'm amused endlessly that in his own documentary, if you watch slightly carefully, you realize he'd been blowing off study hall and had to do all 7 weekly mandated hours and once and missed practice as a result. Talk about "how was that the best take?"
  12. MY favorite part was either when he said %1 better for the 50th time right after eating a piece of butter, or that he was late or missed practice because he put off his 7 hours of weekly study hall till the last day of the week....
  13. when does he claim 225? ok just saw it. Thats BS.
  14. I have to point out it start with him in front of a window completely beaming with sunlight and "5:30" imposed on the screen. Tomorrow google says the sun rises at 6:54 in bakersfield CA.
  15. "was she a great big fat person?"
  16. He had been off the mat a long time when he "beat" glazier, who didn't end the season well but looked like a high AA threat at the time.
  17. I think you are correct, but its worth noting that he was way better when departed than he was when he won the title. He won almost figeruoa ugly, but by the next season was a dominant #1 ranked guy.
  18. its a moot point. He's not gonna run up or down no matter what happens.
  19. my buddy buffalo bill agrees
  20. Yeah it was definitely top heavy, but the going from a 50 to 90% bonus rate is reflection of dramatic improvement against the average wrestler at the weight, which probably wasn't as significant a shift as the lack of title contenders would imply.
  21. Cael, and most college coaches, don't do much for the sport as a whole thats not associated with elevating their program.
  22. how about the self betrayal of leaving SD, he was coming off way better in that setting.
  23. Intriguing, Cornella seems like he had all the tools to be a top 5 type guy, but mentally didn't seem to put it together.
  24. yeah but how consistently is that gonna happen when the season is going and those guys have their own clubs/teams to attend to.
  25. this will sound like a joke but its not, he doesn't have anyone to train with so what else is he gonna focus on.
