  1. 125- Glory 133- RBY 141- Woods 141- Alirez 157- AOC 165- Carr 174- Starocci 197- Bonaccorsi 285- Parris
  2. That RBY-McGee match was fantastic! Amazing job by both athletes! Is McGee quicker than RBY?
  3. Lee’s still a champion.
  4. I just saw Lee get pinned, but I still haven’t processed it yet. It still seems unreal.
  5. What’s your objection? Haines was in the high school class of 2022.
  6. Here's how many years of post-high-training the semifinalists have had: 7 years- 1 6 years- 9 5 years- 13 4 years- 10 3 years- 5 2 years- 1 1 years- 1
  7. I don't have a point. I just thought it was interesting to see how many years these athletes have been training post-high school. Sometimes it's hard to tell by just looking at how many years of eligibility they have remaining. They all look fantastic.
  8. Teams with two or more semifinalists: PSU (7) Nebraska (4) Iowa (3) Cornell (3) Michigan (2) Missouri (2) ASU (2) Princeton (2)
  9. 125 Lee (1), 6th year Ramos (4), 4th year Cronin (3), 7th year Glory (2), 4th year (plus a gap year) 133 RBY (1), 5th year McGee (4), 6th year Arujau (3), 4th year (plus a gap year) Fix (2), 6th year 141 Woods (1), 5th year Hardy (4), 3rd year Bartlett (6), 3rd year Alirez (2), 4th year 149 Yianni (1), 4th year (plus two gap years) SVN (12), 2nd year Parco (3), 4th year Sasso (2), 5th year 157 AOC (1), 6th year Humphreys (5), 5th year Robb (3), 5th year Haines (2), 1st year 165 Carr (1), 5th year Monday (5), 4th year (plus a gap year) Amine (11), 4th year KOT (2), 3rd year 174 Starocci (1), 4th year Foca (4), 3rd year Lewis (3), 6th year Labriola (2), 6th year 184 Keckeisen (1), 4th year Munoz (4), 4th year Brooks (3), 4th year Hidlay (2), 5th year 197 Bonaccorsi (1), 6th year Laird (4), 6th year Elam (3), 3rd year Sloan (7), 5th year 285 Parris (1), 5th year Cass (4), 5th year Kerkvliet (3), 4th year Hendrickson (2), 3rd year (plus a gap year)
  10. First Nebraska signed Red out of Indiana. Then they signed Allred out of Indiana. They must be on to something.
  11. Griffith is already a Stanford grad (I believe) and an NCAA champ. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.
  12. Is anybody else thinking of converting to whatever it is they're preaching at Happy Valley?
  13. Haines is very technically and positionally sound. If Andonian can score a lot of points on him, I'll be impressed.
  14. Cinderella Watch in the Quarters: 125- Cardinale (28) vs. Ramos (4) 125- Ventresca (27) vs. Cronin (3) 149- Rooks (20) vs. SVN (12) 165- Fish (29) vs. Monday (5) True Freshman Watch in the Quarters: 157- Cardenas (6) vs. Robb (3) 157- Haines (2) vs. Andonian (7)
  15. PSU (7) Missouri (6) Iowa (5) Nebraska (5) VT (5) ASU (4) Minnesota (3) Cornell (3) Michigan (3) Ohio State (3)
  16. I believe #2 Haines (157) and #6 Cardenas (157) are the only true freshmen in the quarterfinals. Haines will face #7 Andonian, and Cardenas will face #3 Robb. #13 Mendez (133) and #4 Henson (149) are still alive in the consolation bracket.
  17. So the wrestlers in the quarters who were seeded 20+ are: 125- Cardinale (28) 125- Ventresca (27) 149- Rooks (20) 165- Fish (29) The rest of the quarterfinalists are seeded 12 or higher.
  18. 197: Smith (11) Braunagel (12)
  19. 174: Brands (11)
  20. 165: Amine (11) Fish (29)
  21. 149: SVN (12) Rooks (20)
  22. It'll be super tough for him to get there, but it's certainly possible.
  23. Reportedly, RBY plans to compete for a world team spot this year. Not clear on what weight he is targeting. At any rate, sounds good to me! He is such a talent.
  24. DT has two Hodges, which is enough for tier one IMO.
  25. Personally I would put the best PSU wrestlers in tiers: Tier 1: DT, Zain, Ruth, Nolf, Bo, McCoy Tier 2: Wright, Joseph, Matter, Prescott, N. Lee Tier 3: Hall, Nico Tier 4: a bunch of guys RBY, Starocci, Brooks, and Dean are still active so I'll wait until they're done. Also, the tiers are not meant to be dismissive of anyone. All those guys are incredibly good wrestlers. Finally, in terms of overall careers -- to include freestyle -- I think DT is in a class by himself.
