  1. You would definitely save space in the corners. Not a ton, but maybe enough to be useful. I can see them being handy at the high school or lower tournaments where you want to fit in more mats into a smaller venue space.
  2. Only 2 at large selections for the ACC. They had a rather chalky tournament and pretty good allocations but is anyone surprised the number isn't higher? By comparison: Big12 = 13 (+65 allocations) Big Ten = 11 (+88) EIWA = 10 (+45) MAC = 4 (+23) Pac12 = 4 (+19) SoCon = 4 (+12) ACC = 2 (+33)
  3. This isn't Greco and the referee needs to call stalling. Under the current rules one of those wrestlers would have stalled out to DQ.
  4. What is this, HR? I thought you PSU fans don't believe in grades. They're no fun.
  5. Why not get creative and have both? Start the season with folkstyle duals and national dual championships, break for a month, then individual FS tournaments (Midlands, Scuffle, etc.) and an individual FS championship tourney. It's a stupid idea but would be a real treat for fans.
  6. I just noticed that Ysa took a swing at Belton for standing over him after he was pinned. Didn't catch that at first. I do like that Ysa wrestles with a chip on his shoulder but yeah Zeke needs to rein that in a smidge.
  7. 125 Lee 133 RBY 141 Alirez 149 Paniro 157 Haines 165 DJ Hams 174 Starocci 184 Brooks 197 Warner (that's right) Hwt Parris
  8. Session II still highlighted
  9. Agree, Flores is better than Quint. Gibbons is a smart commentator but gets repetitive sometimes. Like how many times does he have to appreciate RBY working on his fundamentals instead of his ridiculous backflip single leg counter? Sparks does excellent color, but the volume contrast with Gibbons can be jarring. But I like Shane's enthusiasm, it's very infectious. I love how excited he gets about mat returns, lol. Both are fine, but pale in comparison to Robles. His commentary and in-match analysis makes us smarter viewers.
  10. No need to complicate things unnecessarily. Just do SV until first score.
  11. Nice find. I had no idea he was 28 when he finished. That's wild!
  12. I've never seen those octo mats before. Are they designed to interlock so you can fit more mats into an arena? I see it's UALR's so they must be new. Also now do they roll up?
  13. In the moment I thought his knee either buckled from under him or didn't have the stability to bring him down right so he just sort of flopped to the mat like a sack of potatoes. The video that Vak posted looks a little more like a WWE move though. Gomez gets a little airborne.
  14. I think they are great too, but after switching on ESPN and listening to Robles on the horn... wow. What a difference. Is Robles scheduled to call NCAAs? I don't think he was on last year (or maybe just partial sessions?) but not 100% sure.
  15. That argument was hilarious, I was laughing out loud at that exchange. Never heard it called a coffee grinder before.
  16. I know, doesn't count.
  17. Tell me about it!! Same here
  18. O'Toole didn't just lose (twice), he got pinned yesterday. That should count for something.
  19. Yeah I meant I was told that the replays might move off of + and over to 3 maybe after they've been sufficiently monetized?
  20. Wow. I had to look this guy up. Not only did he step away from college to serve in the military for 6 years, he came back and wrestled Hodge, scored on him, and avoided getting pinned!
  21. If you like Purdue's mat, you'll love the colors of the AFA's mat. Very easy on the eyes and the logo in the center is less distracting than Purdue's.
  22. I thought Haines resembled Jason Welch in many ways until he launched Robb yesterday. That was a surprise to see.
  23. I can't see KOT getting the 2 after getting pinned, but he better not get the 4.
  24. Holy crap, no wonder he thought you knew it!
  25. Did he cut n binge or was he actually sick? The former would help make a case for matside weigh-ins.
