    I think it is much more about the cost. These loans have fueled the disproportionate cost increase of education for decades. Highly unethical of these "non-profit" institutions. Very similar to health care.

    Musk says Twitter is getting scraped too much, so they are limiting account activity(including paid) and requiring an account to view any tweets. Decent chance that is a lie and they are running out of money to pay for scale, which would indicate impending collapse.

Oh well, he was a 6X admissions dipper - athlete, both parents athletes, both parents Stanford alumni, wealthy parents. He might have pushed out a Nobel prize winner. Go Cardinal!

    I think he voted for Thomas and raked Anita Hill over the coals, so no. I don't recall what Thomas's stated position on AA was at the time. Thomas knew Hill through their time together at the Equal Opportunity Commission, which was part of the DOE.

    The politically incorrect remarks about the customer base were way after the promotion. The commentary was bad business because it complicates recovery from the situation, but the accuracy of the comments is the cause of the boycott. Pride beer cans aren't normally political, which is the part AB missed badly. Thus, your premise is correct.

    I remember giving you a little grief over the carbon tax. You are right about that causing a rise in gas prices. How do you address the fall in gas tax revenue WA is experiencing? Additionally, localized supply issues do indeed cause large localized price increases. We had a major refinery go off line for a few months in Denver. It caused a 30-40 cent/gallon price hike.

    The stated rationale for printing the promotional rainbow can was solid business sense - expanding their market. The fact that it was grossly counter-productive means they were correct in the need to do so but didn't understand the depth of the prejudices of their existing customer base.
