  1. Since none of his matches will be expected to be close - and because Minnesota is still not expected to be vaulted into trophydom, I would have to say that ultimately, it doesn't move the needle much for me. But I'm not against it. Neutral is my stance
  2. I like Bouzakis a lot - I think its cool how he honors his brother after matches. I want to see him succeed. I think others have touched on the source of some of his struggles. His extreme strength advantage in high school did not directly translate to college. He is still figuring out when to utilize skill and when to try and overpower.
  3. what would Jombo have to say about their behavior?
  4. I saw the match with Harrington and it didn't look good. What worries me is that when you have a few concussions, they become easier to get. I saw the two moments that caused they to stop the match and it didn't look like anything out of the normal (though Shapiro did not look to be faking it). It's such a serious issue - I hope he takes the year off and takes care of his brain.
  5. sound like a classy move by Gable - looking out for the sport
  6. It would have meant that Truax would be going back down to 174 after being 197 the previous year right?
  7. I can actually think of a few things that would legitimately qualify for that. For example - a slight labral tear in the shoulder - does not automatically require a surgery. But depending on where the tear is, and how strong the muscles are around it, the person will feel a different impact. You see it all the time in professional sports where they wait until the offseason to get an operation. Certain things can be enough of a gray area, you could probably wrestle-off and get surgery if you lose.
  8. Interesting that Nagao is healthy enough to wrestle-off against Davis, but injured enough to take a medical redshirt.
  9. No clue - with a room like they have - they have a lot of options at several weights. couple of their best wrestlers are on redshirt, but its still early and that could be removed. Should be interesting, but I would like to see Robinson and Camacho at 125/133 for a few duals
  10. Wrestlestat already went ahead and made the switch. I'd bet Camacho would challenge for 133 since Robinson has been having so much success at 125
  11. Yes lost 1-0 to Babin (Pitt), 12-0 to Seymour (Lehigh), and 11-1 to Sotelo (Harvard)
  12. Harvard's Jimmy Harrington beat Ed Scott for third place
  13. ahead of everyone
  14. AJ Ferrari - Christian Carroll - and Stephen Buchanan all in a row for Nick Stemmet. Tough stretch
  15. I guess he just had to make weight twice in two days though - maybe a factor?
  16. Caliendo running away with this now. Exciting match
  17. Teemer having his way here. Good learning match for the freshman. Teemer looks way bigger, and his defense is just too much
  18. If you haven't seen Cholakyan before, get ready for some fireworks
  19. 12 points without a single Parco Bomb thrown. Give us a throw!
  20. I dont have any inside information, but wrestlestat has been listing him as taking a redshirt this year - and Cholakyan as the starter.
  21. wonder why Provo hasn't been wrestling - injured? Anyway, Stanford looks extremely impressive without him and Cardenas. Tons of talent in the room
  22. currently it says "This information is not being released to the public yet."
  23. sounds good - and likewise for me.
  24. nothing comes to mind, but I'll do an avatar bet if someone is keen
