  1. I'm hoping that he puts this issue behind him and ultimately does become a coach at Lehigh. It may take some time though.
  2. Good question. Ivy League cannot even offer athletic scholarships so maybe this is focused more on endowing the coaching positions and building state of the art facilities
  3. Great news for the Quakers
  4. Coming out of the Hawkeye forum: a creative new way to gain another redshirt year may be applied to Gabe Arnold. It sounds like he may be doing one year at an Iowa JUCO and then three years back at Iowa. This becomes possible after the recent ruling that JUCO years do not count against D1 eligibility. We dont know if they are actually going through with this, but its an interesting idea.
  5. JT Chance from George Mason to Kent State!
  6. https://mndaily.com/252143/city/st-robinsonfired/
  7. I have made many myself
  8. I hope he gets through this as easily as possible.
  9. Landen Duncan is the latest from Cleveland State to Kent State
  10. 309 wrestlers entered the transfer portal (which represents about 10-11% of all D1 wrestlers) this off-season. 177 wrestlers that entered the transfer portal and changed teams 79 wrestlers that had entered the transfer portal, haven't yet found a new home, and are still on their old roster 40 wrestlers that had entered the transfer portal, and are no longer on an active roster of any team. 11 wrestlers that entered the transfer portal but decided to remain with their previous team 2 wrestlers that entered the transfer portal, but decided to move on from wrestling
  11. There are only three active members of the transfer portal who have previously qualified for nationals: 125: Richard Castro-Sandoval, CSU Bakersfield 149: Wynton Denkins, Campbell 184: Tyler Stewart, Virginia Tech(7th place in 2024)
  12. I saw that post and actually liked it on twitter. Pretty thoughtful idea IMO
  13. No kidding about 133. Here is who is expected to be returning with wrestlestat starter ranking in parenthesis: Two former champions: 2) Lucas Byrd (1st in 2025, R12 in 2023, 5th in 2022 and 2021) Richard Figueroa (1st in 2024, National Qualifier in 2025) Ten additional returning AAs: 1) Ryan Crookham (3rd in 2024) 3) Drake Ayala (2nd in 2025 and 2024, National Qualifier in 2022) 4) Zeth Romney (3rd in 2025, National Qualifier in 2024) 5) Zan Fugitt (4th in 2025) 9) Jacob Van Dee (7th in 2025, National Qualifier in 2024) 10) Evan Frost (6th in 2024, R12 in 2025) 11) Tyler Knox (8th in 2025) 13) Dylan Ragusin (5th in 2024, R12 in 2022, R16 in 2023, National Qualifier in 2021) 15) Dylan Shawver (7th in 2024, R12 in 2025, R16 in 2022) 32) Chris Cannon (7th in 2022 and 2021, National Qualifier in 2023) Three Former Bloodrounders 12) Jett Strickenberger (R12 in 2025, National Qualifier in 2024) 27) Brett Ungar (R12 in 2023, R16 in 2024) 39) Zach Redding (R12 in 2023, National Qualifier in 2021) Two Freshman Phenom 6) Marcus Blaze (true freshman phenom) 7) Ben Davino (redshirt freshman phenom) That's two champions, twelve all-americans, three bloodrounders, two freshman phenom, and a partridge in a pear tree.
  14. Daishun Powe taken out of the portal and back on Northern Colorado's roster (retained by Ware?) similarly, Gabe Arnold is out of the portal and back on Iowa's roster.
  15. Hammered. What was your drink of choice tonight? it's the first choice under the "Profile" heading https://www.wrestlestat.com/transferportal
  16. Here is my guess. Although if Kyler Larkin is able to make 133, that could be tempting. Bauder looks to be no slouch himself - getting bonus on two D1 wrestlers last year while at Clackamas at the next weight class up. Wonder if he can even make 133 comfortably. 125: Ane'e Vigil 133: Gavin Bauder 141: Emiliio Ysaguirre / Kyler Larkin RS 149: Pierson Manville 157: Kaleb Larkin 165: Nico Ruiz 174: Leo Tukhlynovych 184: Aziz Fayzullaev 197: Max Acciardi 285: David Szuba
  17. Good call- I had forgotten. Revised: Little Rock 125: Tyson Roach 133: Draegen Orine 141: Brennan Van Hoecke 149: Jaivon Jones 157: Matt Bianchi (2X NQ, 1X AA) 165: Brock Herman 174: Kodiak Cannedy 184: Brock Delsignore 197: Stephen Little (2X AA) 285: Josiah Hill (NQ)
  18. Little Rock 125: Tyson Roach 133: Draegen Orine 141: Jayden Gomez 149: Brennan Van Hoecke 157: Matt Bianchi (2X NQ, 1X AA) 165: Brock Herman 174: Kodiak Cannedy 184: Brock Delsignore 197: Stephen Little (2X AA) 285: Josiah Hill (NQ) This is my guess for starting lineup for Little Rock
  19. So far I see two confirmed transfers to Little Rock: 133: Draegen Orine, younger brother of former All American Kai Orine from NC State (who still has all four years of eligibility) 157: Brock Herman, sophomore from Ohio State, whose best wins include an 11-4 victory over All-American Caleb Fish which occurred last year. Also during his redshirt year, Herman pinned Northwestern's Sam Cartella.
  20. Is Ross committed to OK St? I'm surprised Coby didn't join his brother. like @happyvalet, I had heard Stanford as a primary lean for him. Iowa State and Stanford couldn't be much more different from a cultural standpoint
  21. ask a stupid question... when a guy commits who hasn't flipflopped before, I dont see any reason to lead with cynicism
  22. one red shirt year, four years of eligibility, two years in the RTC before joining as an assistant coach then becomes head coach seven years later. never leaves Ames. So eternity
