Are there teams that are fully ‘loyal’ to their wrestlers
swoopdown replied to Dark Energy's topic in College Wrestling
All that have programs and provide a platform to compete are loyal. Only schools that dropped programs have been disloyal. If you are a wrestler that expects more than a chance to compete you are an entitled, whining butt-hurt tiny ass. -
Started HS 120, college 142.

POLL: Why did PSU recruit a xfer they didn't need?
swoopdown replied to okokzach's topic in College Wrestling
Even if Ryder loses to Rocco the matchup has already launched a fantasy coaching career the likes we have never seen in sport. -
POLL: Why did PSU recruit a xfer they didn't need?
swoopdown replied to okokzach's topic in College Wrestling
Ryder sucked at dodgeball and was always the last guy picked. -
I'm conditionally dropping my resistance to a dual championship. The conditions for my support: Athlete eligibility be limited to the 30 man folkstyle rosters at the start of the season Occur after the NCAA championship Be freestyle Qualifying events held at RTC locations If a box is available I get it and catered food of my choice free of charge. I'm pretty sure I can get Cael to agree to my terms, but only if Ryder rejoins the team. It's all on Ryder now.

Per Newsweek there is a lot going on in Congress as regards sanctions, secondary sanctions etc. https://www.newsweek.com/white-house-explains-why-russia-not-included-trumps-new-tariffs-2054548 Full list in this article https://www.newsweek.com/trump-reciprocal-tariff-chart-2054514 South Africa is on the list. Some heavily sanctioned countries are excluded (Cuba, North Korea, Russia). Iran is included. It will be interesting how this list shakes out over time. I try to avoid the non wrestling forum category but tariff reciprocity has pros and cons, upsides and downsides, economic and political ramifications of interest.

Will greed, pure greed be Cael’s downfall?
swoopdown replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
Bruce is Cael and all things PSU on this forum right now. -
One great things about attending NCAa championship in Philadelphia this year is the interaction I had with fans from other schools who were not internet jerks. As regards internet hate for PSU - Substitute PSU for Millwall. And substitute PSU for Millwall. Pound sand haters.

Best Wrestlers to Never Win an NCAA Title

Not sure what's worse: losing to different wrestlers (Caldwell) or the same wrestler every time (Fehrs) -
AJ Ferrari transferring to PSU?! Video in post
swoopdown replied to bnwtwg's topic in College Wrestling
Cael doesn't want a focus but AJ is considering transitioning and performing for the PSULionette dance team and women's gymnastics. The splits need some work but they can work with with it / that. -

Who do you want to see LOSE the most at NCAAs?
swoopdown replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
Anybody wrestling a PSU wrestler. For the team race, I'll root for whoever's wrestlers could improve PSU's standing. I try rooting for and not against anyone as it's "the better angels of our nature". -
Lehigh is my #2 as I attended as a grad student and left with a diploma and a wife. Pitt is number 3 because all my kids graduated from there.

Gable should run for governor. Minnesota has elected a wrestler before.

A donor leg has been obtained and it is downstairs drilling now. Little is known about the mystery donor except that this leg can dead lift 337 1/2 lbs. Donor had no need of leg because he only moves in a tripod stance and didn't need it.

I enjoyed the Luke Lilledahl championship contender era

I'm really enjoying the "Luke was a contender but now he is not but now he is era" -
Should wrestling from your knees be stalling?
swoopdown replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
Time reference? Only effective shots I see are from standing. The SV TD was Plott taking ground (bad strategy) while AF retreats and waits for Plott to walk into him. AF stands for the shot though. -
Should wrestling from your knees be stalling?
swoopdown replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
The second period TD was NOT initiated from 3PS (three point stalling) position. The critical error (Plott standing too high and leaning too much after he accepted the tie up and AF pushed Plotts left shoulder) was in the standing position and could have been avoided in the standing position. Are they standing when the error is made (picture below) or not? Your wrist control statement is silly and does not warrant a response. If Plott is not capable of maintaining sound balance and a good stance after accepting a tie up from AF's 3PS position, he'd be better off not accepting a tie up at all. Just dance around and push AF's head. Or break the tie up as soon as they stand. Win with mat wrestling. Boring but good strategy. Would another be moving to a russian tie on AF's left arm as soon as they stand? maybe. AF has a wicked low single and Plott needs to find a way to anticipate and hinder it. -

Ferrari was NOT offensive from his knees. His TDs resulted after Plott accepted a tie up, they both stood and Plott tried to push forward (mistake) with the tie. From standing. There was NO on-the-knee offense. -

If you pray on your knees you are stalling.
