Article mentions Oregon and Washington having programs in the past, but not UCLA. Think UCLA dropped around same time Washington did, shortly after having a national champ, heavyweight Fred Bohna.
To answer the question, I doubt we see any of the 4 add/bring back wrestling. I hope I am wrong.
trying to think of some other dominant teams that might have had all 10 highly seeded at NCAAs. Looked at the '86 Iowa team that scored over 150 with 5 champs. unfortunately for sake of this discussion they don't meet the criteria as they didn't even have qualifiers at 118 and Hvy. but 126 through 190 were seeded 3,2,1,2,3,1,3,1. that's just sick.
KOT needs to get his 3rd first and CStar his 4th. If that happens and they come back for a 5th tournament next year, I really hope they avoid each other in regular season. Goes against everything I usually want to see, best vs best as often as possible, but for a guy going for 5th title vs guy going for 4th I want them both undefeated and the lead up to that final to be insane.
quick look so definitely could have missed some, Ok St beat them 27-12 '18-'19 season, PSU beat them 28-13 '17-'18 season, back a little further Minnesota beat them 25-9 '05-'06.
In the non documentary movies, what movies depict the actual wrestling scenes best? Love Vision Quest, but not so much in this aspect. Foxcatcher I think excelled here.
