  1. Two things i have striven for throughout my 56 years on this planet.
  2. Good deal. I think we all knew... it's just been so damn long. I think he is a sleeper for Mid-AA. I, at one point, thought that the trio of him, Brooks, and Beard would account for at least five (5) titles. Same era, wrong there... Stalrocci, Brooks, and Kerk will account for ten.
  3. 53 KG - Katie Gomez lost her opening match to a Romanian who lost their next match. Ergo she will not be pull back in to Repechage. 57 KG - Xochitl Mota Pettis lost her first match to a Jap. The Jap also Pinfelled her following opponent and is in the Semifinals. I believe she will be pulled back in... it's Japan, although her Turk opponent is no slouch. Actually looking at it... the Turk decked Maroulis at 2022 2022 Zouhaier Sghaier while up 7-4. I don't know now... https://uww.org/athletes/kamaloglu-elvira https://uww.org/athletes/natami-sara 62 KG - Adaugo Nwachuku lost to a Kazahk who then lost her next match. Ergo she will not be pulled back in to Repechage. 65 KG - Macey Kilty is in the semifinals. She has recorded a Pinfell on each of her three opponents, has outscored them a combined 18-0 and has been on the mat a total of 4M30S on the day. She has a Moldovan named Irina Ringaci who has also recorded a Pinfell in all (both) of her matches, has outscored her opponents a combined 6-0 and has only been on the mat for 1M42S on the day. The Moldovan was the Bronze medalist at 68 KG whereas Kilty was the Silver medalist at 65 KG at this years Senior Worlds. Looking further and the Moldovan has won Worlds at this weight... HFS. This is going to be fire (hopefully). https://uww.org/athletes/kilty-macey-ellen https://uww.org/athletes/ringaci-irina 72 KG - Amit Elor has recorded a Pinfell in both her matches, while up 4-0, in 17S and 18S respectively. She has a Polish lady who is coming off a brutal 3-2 victory against a Russo lady. She beat the Polish lady at 2022 U23s for Gold via 11-0 Tech.
  4. Sorry, gents. I have been in conference calls all morning so far.
  5. - First wrestler to pass out loses (duh) - This will happen - This might actually be a reason that they wouldn't even consider it as well
  6. Because BJJ =/= wrestling and the 'powers that be' like to stick their noses up to it. BJJ has a huge black eye due to their lack of PED testing and it being known that most of the high level gents publicly use right now (see Ryan, Gordon). That in itself might make it so those 'powers that be' stick their noses up to it. Add in that they have no sort of weight management system aside for that and only that and it becomes much more of a nightmare, logistically. I am all for trying it. I think it would be cool. I also think that nobody who actually matters things there is anything wrong with the current system.
  7. You bet your ass he will be at the BF. Top 7 (?) US who aren't qualified, qualify there. I don't know/think that means you have to go the weight you are qualified for. He could essentially enter 86 KG, place, then drop down to 74 KG for OTT. The only thing I believe locks you in, as far as weight goes, is... - Bye to the semi-finals must be a medalist at an adjacent weight - Bye to the best of three finals must be the olympic medalist at that weight
  8. It's all skewed either way. No Iran makes it so the two dominant teams score more and some of the 2nd/3rd/4th tier teams also score more.
  9. Yeah. Agree to disagree.
  10. Also Iran not being there cheapens it, too.
  11. I agree with the last part. They are there, though. Ergo they have the most points as a nation. You can ignore maths or make it political all you want. I won't.

  13. That is a big win for Trumble. This guy has been on the circuit a long time, despite being only 22 years old.
  14. This just in: - Taxes suck. - Water is wet. - Trumble is the 2023 97 KG U23 World Champ.
  15. T2 Trumble 45S to go. 12-2 Tech.
  16. Trumble gets a turn while the Moldovan is on his legs. 1M46S to go... called up and 10-2 for Trumble.
  17. TD by the Moldovan with 2M35S to go. 8-2 Trumble.
  18. 5-0 then 6-0 with fleeing them at. TD near the end of the first makes it 8-0 for Trumble.
  19. Ref missed calling a Pinfell there. He had him decked. Trumble up 4-0 with 1M40S to go in the first.
  20. 17S in and the Moldovan... who is four weight classes smaller... tries a head'n'arm throw. Fails. 2-0 for Trumble.
  21. Trumble as a Moldovan in the finals here.
