Progrock... from the classic rock era to present days.
fatlaz replied to D3 for LU's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
On a family trip a couple of weeks ago to Yellowstone, we passed though Montana and I played this song for the family. My mother in law in the seat behind me had the same reaction as Ike Turner. -

From Wikipedia: At 1:55, right after the chorus, Zappa plays a long guitar solo. A middle section with vocals by Tina Turner & The Ikettes follows. Zappa follows singing the last verses and finally there's the coda, where the line from the chorus ("Moving to Montana soon...," sung by Tina Turner and the Ikettes) is repeated constantly and answered by a high-pitched "Yippy-Aye-O-Ty-Ay" (sung by Kin Vassy). This goes on until it fades out towards the six-and-a-half minute mark. Of the Ikettes' harmonies, Zappa later said: ”It was so difficult, that one part in the middle of the song "Montana", that the three girls rehearsed it for a couple of days. Just that one section. You know the part that goes "I'm pluckin' the ol' dennil floss..."? Right in the middle there. And one of the harmony singers got it first. She came out and sang her part and the other girls had to follow her track. Tina was so pleased that she was able to sing this that she went into the next studio where Ike [Turner] was working and dragged him into the studio to hear the result of her labor. He listened to the tape and he goes, ‘What is this shit?’ and walked out" -

I get it D3. I'm a Prog Rocker. Yes is one of my favorites. -
Looks like they turned over the coaching staff. Anyone know any details? Are they de-emphasizing wrestling?

The first concert I saw was Jethro Tull and Uriah Heep at the Checkerdome in St. Louis. Maybe 1979 or 1980.
-
The first album I ever bought was the 8-track version of "Songs from the Wood" in about 1978. It's still my favorite album and Jethro Tull is still my favorite group. I have every Tull album on vinyl now up to Broadsword and the Beast, though I rarely listen to vinyl anymore.

Right. Aeoden definitely looked too small for 197 this year. Rocky always looked too big for 197.
-
Maybe Rocky transferred because he couldn't make the lineup.

So, start at 184 then to 125 then 133 etc through to Hwt?

Anyone building a house or doing an addition?

Sorry ionel, I have a short attention span and it ran out towards the end of your post where you talked about this from your first hand experience. Therefore if no US citizens want to do certain types of work, and the number of illegal immigrants are reduced, then the demand for legal non citizens with work permits will increase. -

A good friend of mine owns a sod business. He goes through a lawyer to get non citizens to work for him seasonally legally. So not every non citizen worker is an illegal alien. -
Event Details December 6, 2024 Francis Howell High School St. Charles, MO 63304 Streamed Live on UFC FIGHT PASS 6:00 PM: Iowa vs. Princeton 8:00 PM: Iowa vs. Army Does anyone know anything about this? I live in the St. Louis area and just got an email about the meet. It hasn't been publicized very well. Is Iowa going to send their starters? It just seems strange for Iowa to have a home dual meet at a St. Louis area high school.

Every year I join the local University's wrestling booster club and give a fairly sizable donation. In return, I get the opportunity to buy some of that University's allotment of tickets. Luckily, my local University has hosted the NCAA tournament a few times, so they had a better selection of tickets.

There was a lot of discussion about this a few months ago, but that discussion just kind of went away. I didn't see any team hand out 20 more scholarships this signing period. Football goes from 85 to 105 scholarships with a roster limit of 105, so no walkons? This was supposed to be for next season which should affect this signing period.

Steveson is the Kyle Dake of eligibility. As time goes on, he keeps getting younger eligibility wise.

As recently as early September, wrestling was going to 30 maximum roster size with 30 full scholarships available for the 2025-2026 school year. Similar changes are being applied to other sports. I think I heard the scholarship/roster size change is on hold. Does anyone know for sure? How many teams would finance 30 full scholarships?

Smith was obviously trying to get Cam Steed more recovery time...not steal the match. Steed was ahead when he got his second injury and disqualified.
