  1. I think with Vince it may have been a drop in confidence, some guys can’t handle taking some loses in college while they figure it out and I always assumed that was the case with Vin. With Anthony who knows ,maybe he had an injury last year that we didn’t know about , I hope he finds his way back into the lineup
  2. He has 3 years left but he had a losing record last year and lost the starting spot late in the season , also took a lose to Mougalian …His brother Vin transferred to a D3 school college of Nj he has 1 year left I believe
  3. Yea that was a great rivalry , I thought Santinello would have a better college career bc he was so good on the mat in high school but for whatever reason it didn’t translate … I was always impressed Mougalian accomplished all he did at a small school that didn’t even have a full team and who never had a state placer before him and maybe 1 or 2 state qualifers ever
  4. I was hoping that would be the case until I saw he’s in the Wharton school of business. For him to transfer it would mean putting off a career and 6 figure salary and most guys arent willing to do that .. for the record through I really hope he gets a season
  5. It looks like Evan Mougalian will never crack the penn lineup , he was a 2x NJ state champ and 3x finalist ,he beat Stanich many times in high school, it would have seemed crazy to think a few years ago he ll never wrestle in a postseason but he’s in the Wharton school of business so I think he’ll be alright in the long run
  6. Yea I was surprised too I saw the weight certs on the Rutgers forum and the guy who posted it is accurate with this kind of stuff who knows maybe Nini has a lot of body fat and can lose the weight
  7. Fair points but I saw that Nini was 165 for weight certification and even with the descent plan Idk if he’s allowed to go down to 141 , I was always under the belief you can only move 2 weight classes down from your certification weight but I could be wrong
  8. Nini lost to Campbells, UPenn and Lehigh back ups last season while Joey O only lost to AAs (almost all 1 TD matches) and made the blood round .. just curious why you think Nini is much better
  9. Burton will be levels better then Gabe Arnold , this kid just keeps getting better and better
  10. Doubt it had to do with not winning in the room the only other heavyweight on the roster was 7-13 last year and 13-21 for his career
  11. Wow I thought he was a great get for them, does he have any type of injury history?
  12. I thought probably Kasak at 157 and or SVN at 149
  13. Wow No penn state that’s super weak on them
  14. 4 years ago sure but who the heck knows what Amos will look like , he hasn’t wrestled a Folkstyle match since 2023 and I say this as a huge Amos fan I hope he’s a world champ one day and I push aside my dislike of bono and will root for him to win Heavyweight this year but his results were mixed even in 2023 , AJ has lost 2 matches his entire career
  15. Norman was 18-1 with 12 bonus wins going into the final dual of the season then he dropped match against UNC ,then he was top at ACCs and his season fell off a cliff from that point on . For 3 months he looked like a legit top 4 guy and had a bad 2 weeks at the worst time
  16. Welsh Ryder would be a good way to kick off the season .Norman vs pinto would be fun ,both pretty open styles and Norman is also a Nj guy that grew up a stones throw away from Rutgers
  17. I don’t think anyone would complain about any of those matchups ..I’d love to see Shane Van Ness wrestle in it again , his dad is a Rutgers legend and SVN grew up in the area and always puts on a pretty good show
  18. Right around the corner on Nov 1. Hosted by Rutgers this season after being at Penn State since its revival a few years ago. Only guys I’ve seen announced so far are the Rutgers duo with Shawver at 133 and Pinto at 174 . Have any other guys announced they are in? anyone think PSU won’t send a bunch of guys bc they aren’t hosting?
  19. That’s the one
  20. I’ve had trouble watching the rock in anything since I came across that weird and downright disgusting Saturday night live skit from years back
  21. Sollars made the quarterfinals and R12 last year at ncaas I think he has a reasonable chance of improving on that Moran was R16 with some wins over McGowan, Gallagher, cooper Flynn and some one point loses to Caleb Smith and Steve O so I think he can be in the mix for the podium Indiana guys seemed to peak at the perfect time for ncaas last year (1AA, 3 R12 guys,1 R16) maybe Escobedo has figured something out
  22. Completely forgot about Devin Carter ,I would definitely add him to my list , been watching him since he was young ,I wrestled his brother quite a few times back in the day before they moved down to Virginia
  23. He could’ve taken him or Paul Craig down whenever he wanted he just didn’t want to risk getting tapped out by ju jiitsu black belts ,it had nothing to do with his wrestling ability
  24. Going to have to disagree about the quality of the field, the Russian that he teched in the finals has a world silver and world bronze since then , the Azerbaijan wrestler he beat 9-2 was reigning u23 world champ and reigning euro champ, the Japanese guy he pinned was Japans senior level rep that same year and to top it off he also teched an Iranian all while bumping up weight which is no small feat in international competition Saduleev and Chimaev shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breathe as far as wrestling goes that may be true about Nolf but until someone actually points out who else hit the Winn Dixie in a D1 match against a returning AA then I’ll keep giving Nolf his props too be fair saying he lost to a guy that went 0-1 is definitely a shot at J’Den
  25. So your dislike of PSU is so strong that you’ll not only brush off a U23 world title , you’ll defend a Russian who up until recently was banned from entering the country bc of his close friendship with an international terrorist and to top it off you re taking a shot at Cox whose arguably the most underrated US wrestler of all time and who knocked off both Dake and Taylor to keep them off world teams
