  1. How is this different from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s? I recall it was Okie State and Okie for a while, then add in Iowa and ISU. Wasn't it basically 3 or 4 schools back then too?
  2. The season is like many others. Penn State fans are happy and watching to see how far and how excellent the program can get Oklahoma State fans are very excited as they have a brand new energy in their program. Iowa will again draw the most fans, and they have some top notch guys. And the twins gonna scream and jump up and down which is entertaining as always. And fans of all the other programs have their individual storylines and the race to see who can put pressure on Penn State. And Nebraska might even be leading PSU at intermission this Friday night causing some fans to believe PSU is vulnerable. I feel as though there is a lot to like this year
  3. Why I am predicting Gable wins, but at least Greg is in the conversation.
  4. I am not predicting a Kerkvliet win over Gable Steveson, but since Greg last lost to him 3 years ago he has gone 50-3 with the only losses in college being to Mason Parris. During that time Gable has wrestled 4 matches against guys who are not in the conversation of being elite guys. Kerkvliet is a lot better than he was in March of 2022. Gable is who he is so he is going to try to bully Greg like he bullies everyone else. I for one am excited to see the match. Remember, Spencer Lee was never going to lose another college match too, and we all know how that worked out.
  5. Lots of dancing in this one.
  6. If the Black Knight Invitational is any indication then they'd have won decisively. PSU backups hit MSU wrestlers at several weights and won all of them or close to it via Fall or TF. As an example, the guy Kerkvliet pinned yesterday in 56 seconds was pinned in 32 seconds by Cole Mirasola. How can you judge the starter's 56 second pin as anything other than what it is, a pin vs an overmatched opponent.
  7. That is the question, and you don't get the answer with the way he wrestled Andrews. He could probably turn it up a notch to give you a good indication, but the matches with Kerkvliet and Hendrickson is where you find out. Gable at 80% of his old self is probably enough to win them.
  8. It's close, but I like McEnelly over either of Iowa's 184s.
  9. From what I saw today, Nebraska can win some matches. They would need huge efforts but they have the abilty to win every match from 125 thru 157. Every one of those matches can be 1 score matches either way.
  10. It feels like there have been a dozen position changes in that match. That was wild.
  11. They keep Hardy's walk out music going during mat clean up. I think it inspired him to that early td.
  12. Van Dee with the last second td for the win.
  13. I did not see that one, but he looked good in beating McDanel.
  14. They have Salazar ranked 9th. He looks tough to me.
  15. McEnelly looks tremendous in the 184 match.
  16. I doubt that he likes BigTen opponents not putting up much competition.
  17. Btw, that football game on espn is pretty compelling right now.
  18. 10 consecutive bonus wins. 1 MD 3 TF 6 Falls Msu didnt pose much threat, but PSU looked in near peak form.
  19. Double picks then double holster them like a true cowboy.
  20. Maybe Hamiti can wrestle Crooham. Maybe Ramos too.
