I wish I was that hopeful. Every year there's been an injury. Just by that fact I give a 5% chance to the field. Beyond that, his cardio, although improved, remains an issue
For sure. As a huge Lee fan, I had 2 concerns at the beginning of the season: 1) can he get in shape, 2) can he stay healthy. I see progress in the 1st. Unfortunately, the 2nd will remain an open question the rest of his career, I'm afraid
This is all fine and good but what I really want to know is:
Who is the least likely to win the Hodge and what sort of chaos would need to ensue in order to make it happen?
Someone who was at the dual told me that Warner got heated with one of the Brands' brothers after the match against Foy. I didn't see the exchange on the stream. I also wasn't aware that there was an exchange after the match with Dean, which makes me even less confident that he'll be benched this coming Friday (which was always just pure speculation on my part).
Cass wrestled Parris at last year's NCAAs, losing 11-5. I hope he can close the gap some.
Warner had a very heated exchange with Terry after his loss this past Friday. I have a feeling he'll be benched.
I have no idea what most hawk fans think. I have family members that were part of the program during Gable's reign. They all think highly of Lee but none are convinced that he is the Hawkeye Goat (yet).
None of us care to speculate what may happen in 2029 when Brand's contract is due for renegotiation
This is all true but let's please stop using HR as a source for what all/majority of Hawkeye fans think. There are what, maybe 60 active posters on the board (that feels high). It's a good source for information and a chuckle but at the end of the day, that board represents a small sliver of the Hawkeye fandom. Ditto for other team centric message boards
Don't completely disagree - this weight is not easy to rank because a bunch of guys have beaten each other but I'm not sure Brandon Courtney should be so high up with a loss to Barnett. Ditto for DeAugustino who is currently 4-4 on the year.
Not trying to be overtly critical. It's a tricky weight and I don't have the answers
