  1. In other news, just because I know this thread is getting the most attention right now, Pat Glory just made his 133 debut
  2. I have been staying off of the Levi Haines hype train and although I'm not ready to buy a ticket, I am ready to buy into him as an AA contender
  3. So let's just settle for crappy wrestling? I like RBY. I'm not trying to hate on him just for the sake of hating. I think he can, and should, be taking down Ragusin multiple times. This is the time of year where PSU historically looks like they're training through so perhaps I should give the boys in blue some more slack
  4. Who gives a crap about riding time? We talking about riding time right now, really? RBY scored 0 points in the third period. And that's the whole point, he is capable of so much more
  5. 4-2 passes for domination these days? No wonder Tsirtsis was a multi time Hodge winner
  6. Bruv, have you been watching Pinto?!?! He is the next destroyer of worlds! But in all seriousness, I concur with your picks. Hardy is a great test for Woods. I hope he's healthy and ready to go
  7. Lee could wrestle all of his remaining matches (ie, no ducking) and end each one with a 1st period fall and Id still put him behind Kyle. Not Lee's fault, beating David Taylor and winning 4 titles across 4 different weights is simply too big of an advantage in Dake's favor for Lee to overcome. Now, If Covid had never happened and had Lee wrestled last year - beating some combo of Vito, Suriano, and Glory in the process then maybe we could have entertained this discussion
  8. I'm probably a little bit biased but I think Spencer Lee has better offense than ADS or Fix, and if anyone finishes a takedown on RBY, it will be Lee. But I don't like the match up at 133. We've seen what happens when someone undersized bumps up (who was that defending champ that Terry Brands destroyed that one year?). Not confident Lee's super strength is enough to counter RBY's speed, size, and conditioning advantage so RBY has to be considered the favorite by any objective standard. I'll take Lee at 57kg though
  9. Foley looks worse than he did 2 years ago. Still very quick, but looked sloppy and a little lost in some of those scrambles
  10. How was the starting weight decided?
  11. Meh. The injury default loss that DeSanto took was shameful but, 1) RBY has never done that to anyone else, 2) Austin shot in at least 15 times after the injury and the situation never recurred, 3) Lee and Austin are not comparable wrestlers. Lee finishes his shots differently than Austin. He would not find himself in the same predicament
  12. Are you... Using windows XP?
  13. Is there something about "intent" here that we're missing? That call looked as obvious of headgear pull as any I remember seeing.
  14. Chase Saldate
  15. Ragusin started off strong with 2 first period takedowns and then fell off the wagon, hard.
  16. Lee pin RBY major Woods better be ready to go by then... Woods decision Murin decision Haines major Kennedy decision Carter decision Brooks major Dean decision Kerk decision
  17. I'm not privy to what WKN thinks. All I'm saying is that a ton of top wrestlers either haven't wrestled (Woods, Facundo, O'Toole, Glory, 30%+ of Ohio State's lineup), or if they did, they looked sluggish/off (Arujau, Warner, Swiderski) Actually, now that I think of it, OKST might be one of the few teams that have been wrestling a full lineup. They have looked ok. Wittlake losing was a surprise
  18. Roughly 36% of the entire D1 roster is sick or injured right now. I don't think I saw a single top team field their "full" lineup this past week.
  19. Things got off to a VERY spicy start with Spencer Lee briefly trailing Ramos 8-2 before finding his way to the pin. Anyways, Teske wrestling for the first time since November
  20. a double protein, double cheese, fully loaded and double wrapped burrito from chipotle for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  21. ISU vs Wyoming is on right now on ESPN+
  22. Don't be dramatic. RBY and Lee have both said it's their choice when to compete. Here's Cael's own words on the topic: “I think it’s a tricky situation; there’s different mind-sets, you know,” Sanderson said. “A guy like Aaron, he looks at it sometimes like, ‘well I want to give some of these other guys on the team a chance to wrestle.’ “But I think it’s a little tricky,” Sanderson continued. “When I grew up my dad was my coach and I wouldn’t miss a match for anything; I don’t care what the situation is. So that’s my mentality, but I think things kind of change over time.” “Kids could look at things differently and I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer. You’ve seen some really successful wrestlers the last few years kind of picked and chosen the matches they wanted to participate in. Hopefully that’s not a trend. Part of wrestling is … wrestle … go compete. But we give our guys a lot of freedom to make decisions and take some ownership in their careers and we have a lot of trust in them.” So, the decision on when to compete does not seem to be one sided
  23. Yuck. Most of the team has seemed slow tonight.
  24. Brands might be injured +/- sick but his wrestling is the antithesis of his father's
  25. PK looked good. Gave the crowd some energy.
