  1. Or possibly make them even more nervous about giving up an easy go around. There's something really unbalanced about the 3 point takedown, seems like it leads to a bunch of stallfests among the top guys.
  2. They are definitely well above average.
  3. Hehehe, he said that? That's dumb.
  4. Naw, I just read a lot. You sure seem insecure about it, lol.
  5. They are right, though, when you think about it. If you were a layman and you looked at the statistics of both wrestlers you'd see a guy with an 18-0 record, ranked #1, taking on a guy with a 25-0 record, ranked #2. Both were the top 2 seeds. So one undefeated guy beat another undefeated guy? Anyhow, that's how they see it. They don't see the difference between #1 in the world, and #1 in the USA. The fans in this wrestling forum, however, know that FS and folkstyle are literally different sports. Gable may very well be the #1 HWT FS wrestler in the world and still not be the best folkstyle wrestler in the USA. For the record I do recognize how big an upset the match was. I think if Gable and Wyatt wrestled 10 times that Gable would win 9, and probably win several by bonus points. He may have "only" won 2 NCAA titles, but think he's still top 10 all time for D1 college wrestling. 101-3 and career bonus 76.5%. I can't believe I'm seeing guys talking about him in here like he's some sort of opportunist putz. Make hay while the sun shines. Here's something to think about: Anthony Cassar, the last guy to beat Gable before tonight, was a Jr who was 3-0 in 2020 when he had to take an injury RS. Doesn't that technically mean he has another 2 years eligibility?
  6. I think Mr. Taylor is fully capable of double tasking He should have those cauliflowered ears repaired though, now that he's making big bucks at OSU. It'll benefit his health in the long run.
  7. Yeah, I remember feeling bad for Kollin Moore. He'd have definitely won a title. I'd have been shocked if Chaz Tucker finished higher than 8th if they'd had NCAAs that year, though.
  8. The guy won an Olympic gold medal, and he might win more. I think Steveson coming back for another year added a lot of excitement to the HWT division and was good for college wrestling. I don't think his legacy is "tarnished", that's ridiculous.
  9. 3 time loser because he literally lost 3 times in his career?
  10. It's not fair to the "old" guys who only got 4 chances either. There's no way CS is a better college wrestler than Aaron Brooks or Cael were.
  11. I don't think DT will ever overcome Cael, but I think he'll make it very interesting in the next few years.
  12. I think PSU also broke the all time points record, scoring 177 pts compared to 172.5 last year.
  13. Nobody gave him a chance, beyond a fluke pin maybe.
  14. Great performances by PSU and NU. 8 All Americans has to be the record for a 2nd place team. Oklahoma State under Taylor had a solid performance with 6 AAs and 2 National champs, the best they've done for a long time. Iowa made the podium at 4th. PSU will reload, as usual. NU has a fairly young team and will be very good next year. OSU has to reload, losing both it's champs. Iowa has to reload as well. It may be challenging for OSU and Iowa to make the podium next year.
  15. 26-0, 13 pins, 8 techs, 1 def, 84.62% bonus.
  16. Yeah, got to give it to Hendrickson.
  17. Plus he's gonna win the Gorrorian, right?
  18. He said "I wanna put on my my my my my boogie shoes, and boogie with you".
  19. DO NOT ***duck** WITH THE US AIR FORCE!!
  20. Does Cormier ever shut up?
  21. Are you sure he's that tall? He looks like he should be guarding a pot of gold or something.
  22. Yeah, pretty tacky for a college final.
  23. He looks older than I do and I'm 60.
