It reminded me of "Blood Meridian", which I finished last week. Scalping, murder, chaos, and not the happiest ending ever.

The acting is pretty good, actually. It's a top tier production, not some cheeseball "b" grade show. There's a lot of violence because the show is portraying violent historical occurences, such as the Mountain Meadow Massacre, where a group of Mormon "militia", disguised as Indians, in concert with real Paiute indians, slaughtered a group of Missouri settlers trying to cross Mormon territory. I'm sure there is dramatic license taken in places though. Don't screw with Jim Bridger!

No bone to pick in this dogfight, just piping in my two cents. From what I understand the problem in the California fires wasn't a lack of water in combating the fires, the problem was a lack of water pressure. When a thousand fire hydrants are open at the same time guess what? Water pressure drops to nothing. You can open that hydrant up and it'll drip like grandpa's pecker. Same reason that you can't flush a toilet in one room without scalding the significant other taking a hot shower, all she's getting is stuff from the hot water tank while your crapper fills the tank with cold.

I've watched the first 2 episodes of the limited miniseries. Those episodes were very good! A lot of people who've seen the show complain about the violence. I'm surprised so many guys are picking Teemer. I'm assuming they are all Hawkeye fanboys. I think Kasak is better and wrestles better guys in the room everyday than Teemer does, plus Teemer is bound to be rusty. I can't see a rusty Teemer beating Kasak. Maybe at B1Gs and NCAAs, but right now I got Kasak.
