There's nothing wrong with Cam's wrestling skills. He's a great defender and has some good takedowns. There's something wrong with his approach.

But he doesn't have to be a low scorer. He's got some pretty good takedowns in his arsenal, and he's a great athlete. I just can't understand wrestlers with no sense of aggression.

Taylor doesn't have to sit Cam out to make him wrestle. Taylor can do the time honored method wrestling coaches have used for thousands of years to motivate their wrestlers: he can run his ass off. Another mile of running every day after practice while all the other guys are heading for the showers should provide ample incentive to take more than 1 shot a match. Unless it's one of those towel-whipping hellscapes in the shower like I had in college, in which case he might be happy to run the mile instead.

Is that you, Grandpa?? Just kidding. I like the 3 point takedown, I think it's done a lot to incentivize guys towards more aggressive work in neutral. Do you dislike the 3 point takedown?

I saw a guy get a reversal a couple days ago and thought the same thing myself. If takedowns are going to be 3 points, so should reversals. Also, and most of you guys will hate this, I think a point should be awarded for every minute of riding time, with the proviso that the top man is trying for turns.

I've never watched the Ultimate Fighter. Plus I've never heard him saying he's on par with Sadulaev, whom the MMA guys don't know about anyway. Bo is pretty cocky, but he's been so successful at wrestling and MMA that I see that as understandable.

I still don't know what kind of mojo John Smith had with the refs. That last Fix/Vito match was horrendous and lasted forever.

I don't know if I'd agree with Griff on Paddy majoring Sasso, but I think he'd beat Sammy quite handily. Is there any chance Sasso makes it down to 149 before B1Gs?

That's because they are stupid. A lot of MMA fanboys hate Nickal because he said he's a better wrestler than Khabib. Guess what? Bo IS a far more accomplished wrestler than Khabib ever was. A lot of MMA fanboys hate Bo because he said he was a better wrestler than Jon Jones. Guess what? Bo IS a lot better wrestler than Jon Jones. Some MMA fans hate Bo because he said he'd be able to whip a chimp in a fight. Now the fact is that chimps have 30% more power than humans per pound. But Bo is 100% bigger than most chimps and is probably 50% stronger than an average human (at least) and would outmuscle them, in addition to having actual technique. Chimps are overrated. Bo is confident, and should be. He's a tough go in MMA. He's the best college wrestler to take part in the sport so far, and he's always trying to learn more stuff.

I usually root for guys on a team basis, but a wrestler can win me over with a good interview. I remember rooting for an ISU guy a few years back just because he was a cool kid. Also guys who come off as douchy can make me root against them even if I like their team.

I'm not a PSU fanboy and I've always liked Bo Nickal.

The NCSU wrestlers gave pretty good scrap though, you have to be satisfied with that. Fishback kept it pretty close, although he stalled his ass off nearly the entire match, with Plott. His picture before the match reminded me of this guy from Animal House.

Robinson surprised me, I didn't know he was as good as he is. I think Spratley probably takes him next time. Fish wrestled a pretty good match. He scrambled better than Scott, nullified Scott's upper body stuff, and got off a couple good takedowns. That crazy takedown/NF at the end sealed the deal. I could easily see another match between those guys ending with the exact opposite score. Cael Hughes was impressive. I wonder what's happening with him and Witcraft?
