  1. so in other words, b/c they don't own it directly, it makes timmy smart. no. their pensions are affected by the stock going down.
  2. the finals are super tight... if you can live thru the 15 minutes of boredom and love the 1 minute of terror, then this is the sport for you.
  3. guys. we aren't going to get the basketball fans. if a wrestling guy isn't going to watch, why would anyone who isn't want to watch. they dont' watch freestyle either. so don't go there with rule sets. this is why everyone loves basketball: the worst bball player on the team can have a good day. and think he is great and love the sport. the worst wrestler on the team, is probably not ever going to have a good day... unless he really sticks with it and has the right attitude about growth ( and in this day and age... that probably won't happen) . and won't think he is great and so won't love the sport.
  4. i love it too... but we won't have the 'scoring' we 'want' or the more 'exciting' matches until guys aren't 'sure' they won't score when they attempt a shot. I love the sport as it is. i am using these things as a counter to all the people calling to implement freestyle into folk. NO.
  5. you know. now that i think about it, i was like, what is with the table help.. the scores were messed up a lot in the beginning...
  6. i agree philly would be a great city to visit again, however, the arena too small. they had to put up warmup tents for the wrestlers. i mean was it better than des moines, who had to put up bar stools along a walkway to meet the attendance criteria? ionel..can we blame the clocks on philly? or was that espn?
  7. yep, said this in more than one thread. someone else said a 5 count like on top.
  8. i respect your work completely and really appreciate all your digging however, the team that did it first IS ALWAYS on top. the team that ties, did it second... just saying lol
  9. someone said DT was the biggest winner, and i was just lazy and didn't want to go back to quote them
  10. oo so maybe brands? or are you saying buchanan himself got that cash i know nothing of anyones contracts or NIL deals
  11. DT was the biggest winner he got $80K in bonuses 60K for 3rd and 10K for each champ
  12. why do you think this? I mean, i always cheer when someone does something amazing. But, I also felt for Gable, watching him on his knees on the mat. looking around... searching... stop being a troll
  13. for Penn State to be as dominant as they were as other teams were also having historic runs... shows how dominant they are I think. my first thought was we are in trouble, as a sport, b/c of the concentration of power, but then I remembered all the upsets and the spread of finalists from different states
  14. good post the timing of his entrance was arranged (and announced ahead of time) by espn and who ever else was involved in the order of wrestling
  15. lol was this you Be a man that understands compassion. Leave it alone.
  16. yes, b/c that's what they are saying
