There is NO WAY Nogle is going anywhere. Wrestling ends and there is not a single NIL offer that can make up the career earning potential of graduating from a Service Academy. Nogle's brother chose Harvard, and Nogle chose Air Force Academy. Smart kids with their eyes on the BIG PICTURE.

I really think Michigan does a good job of bringing in high character kids, plus academically, it is a bit more selective on admissions. I don't see either Davis or Swiderski fitting in to the program culture wise.

I was hoping he would get an at-large bid too. He had some good wins over kids that qualified. I don't know him, but I'm sure he is a great kid. And I am sure he is a smart kid. I LOVE the fact that he chose Northwestern to earn his degree. Wrestling ends and his school choice will better position him for a better future. LOVE when kid make adult decisions and use wrestling to get into the best school possible rather than going to a school with a 80% acceptance rate just to wrestle. I will be cheering for him.

I'm an Illinois homer, so I am biased, but I don't see how Rallo and DeKraker got the nod over Ragusin and Pucino. Very disheartening.

What I think hurts a lot of teams (besides holes in the line up) is lack of depth in the line up. If you look currently at Penn State and Oklahoma State, they have numer 2 and number 3 guys at weights that can go and score points for them in duals and tournaments if their starter is banged up and can't go.

I would have a hard time accepting that anyone in that program is happy with 5th. I don't think ANY competitive person is ever happy with anything but 1st.

Another issue is that Northwestern probably has to take a pass on 80% or more of the blue chip recruits due to academic requirements for admissions. Same goes for the Ivy league schools. Hard to compete with schools with 70%-85% admission acceptance rates.

Ben Davino is good at wrestling.

I'm sure he is doing alright as an administrator in California. I am sure he is not struggling to pay his rent.

In talking to some parents over the years, I was VERY surprised to hear what some of the top coaches asked kids to wrestle or "required" some matches that lead to greater injury.

I still think they should award 1 point for EACH MINUTE of riding time. I think it would create more urgency to get out on bottom.

Nah, I would think most parents would want their kids to wrestle for a stand up role model type. A professional and a leader. I don't see that with Jordan Oliver.

Come on now. Ayala is a winner. Always has been. The kid is gritty and tough. You all should take a deep breath and remember is almost 4 months until NCAAs. He can plateau all he wants - he is RIGHT THERE. 2 time finalist and there aren't many who wouldn't want that for their career. And he still has one more ride to go. Now if we are going to get picky, he should be a national champ from 125. If you watch the video, Figueroa won on a go ahead takedown that should have not been allowed and Ayala should have been awarded 1 point on a technical violation for Figueroa grabbing the shoe for that takedown.

How about this: If you can't get out, you give up a point AND you should be hit for stalling. Wrestling is hard and folkstyle is about control. I think that top wrestlers should earn a point or EACH minute of riding time earned.
