The Pac will either have to merge with the WAC and MWC or take their best teams creating a Jr. Varsity Pac-12 of what it used to be. I was advocating with the PAC merging with the B12 a couple years ago when shifting started to happen, but unfortunately the Pac-12 president did not read my post on this message board.
Pac-12 has been falling apart for awhile now. The final nail in the coffin will be happening soon. Poor leadership with no vision. The Pac-12 will most likely become the Pacific Mountain West 12 Conference.
Minimum to maximum is probably a safe bet.
It could end up being 1 year, but to say definitively that it will be 1 year because CP said so is not a wager I would make.
Explain the 1 year ban. Johnson was enrolled in school and attending classes on 9-10-2022 (ISU starts Fall semester in August) and bet on the game that involved his own school. According to updated penalties, Johnson faces a potential permanent loss of collegiate eligibility. How can you say that would carry a 1 year ban? Make me smarter.
Per the ESPN article above:
"The NCAA recently updated its penalties for student-athletes who violate its gambling policy. Those who bet on their own games or other sports at their school face a potential permanent loss of collegiate eligibility."
Zero trouble with Dresser or zero trouble with the NCAA?
Livid because….?
Not sure how he went from never wrestling again to being in zero trouble in 20 minutes
Any updates on Renteria, Eichens, Saenz, Nolan, or Cates? I may have missed some earlier posted. Still some quality guys left and we are inching closer to school starting.
Good question. All coaches are still listed on the website. Now that the situation has been put to rest legally (barring new info), I don't see a positive path forward for this program that does not involve the coaching staff being dismissed. If I remember correctly there were around 5 kids that went to the portal after this? I am guessing that we will see some sort of statement soon from the university.
How did your team's recruits fare at Fargo? I am excited for Justin Rademacher (AA in both styles) and Aden Attao (Greco champ, freestyle runner up) coming in next year. They both had pretty good runs at Fargo. A few other future Beavs won matches as well.
