I will say this as a side note.... No matter what you see of Chael in the media, he has been a legit cool guy off camera. He has been very supportive of Oregon State wrestling.... I've talked with him several times and he couldn't be a nicer guy. Just my experience with him.

Agree... I dont' think Volk gets his due. He has wrestled a tough schedule. I have seen a little bit of inconsistency this year in his performances, but that pretty much sums up the whole 125lb bracket. He's a guy I could see making a jump next year into a top tier of 125lbers.

This happened this weekend... at my kids high school.... a friend of ours was wrestling on the mat next to this match. He does in fact hit him several times - Here is a better video. He has received a lifetime ban from coaching. He also has been banned from athletic events for this year and next. There is still a police investigation going on. He will be charged with assault I am sure.

The real Jimmy Cinnabon was on the old board. As many have pointed out from the very beginning on the new board, this Jimmy Cinnabon is not the same. He's Jimmy Cinnabon 2 or Fauxbon. At the rate you have been posting topics....hmmmm

The Pac 12 was also responsible for the 5:00 local start time for the PSU dual due to scheduling basketball double headers for the prime time slots over the weekend. It was a hassle to have a 5:00 local start time , yet we still managed over 8,500 fans for the dual. That also took creativity, as there were several Oregon Classic qualifiers that weekend and weigh-ins were at the same time as the dual. Luckily, people stepped in and organized a satellite weigh-in for the kids at Reser Stadium so they could weigh in and then walk across the parking lot to the dual. The LR dual was almost canceled due to more Pac12 basketball stuff, but the staff thought outside the box to make it still happen by moving it to the high school. Hopefully OSU can capitalize on the huge crowd that will already be there for the Resers Tournament of Champions.

Which we will undoubtedly have 9 threads of people complaining about seeds who don't understand.... much like the first coaches poll.

@Thumper@NearFall@bronco. The Oregon State vs LR match will not be televised. The Pac-12 switched up a bunch of stuff and now the dual will be held off-site at a local high school at the conclusion of Day 1 wrestling at the Resers Tournament of Champions (One of the best tournaments in Oregon HS wrestling). There might be live scoring. It should be noted that although CSUB does not have a match on the schedule, they are in fact still a wrestling program and are still competing.

I believe these rankings were sent in before matches that happened that would have changed them (i.e. Ramos over Ayala). As mentioned, because of results, number of matches, etc. the first two are usually way off.
