    I lo Sometimes those East Coasters have their own vocabulary... you know... States.... :) It's always good to see class acts like this. I don't know Yianni or follow Cornell as closely as some of you, but it's great to see guys who are as accomplished as he is being a servant leader rather than a name that is above the team and the sport. Very classy.... and good to hear that Wisconsin followed that up with class as well. Stories like this make you a fan of Yianni no matter who you root for.

    I would take Lee, Brooks, RBY and Starocci over O'Toole pound for pound right now... Maybe Yianni depending on how the season shapes up. There is a long way to go - looking forward to some of those 165 matchups.

    I agree...but if we were to seed the NCAA tournament right now, the all-star matches would not factor into the equation. Ratings....Rankings....Seeding...

    Those matches were 4 years ago.... I'm guessing now that Spencer has knees he might be a little better. I was probably a C- but I was a master at hiding it.

    I was surprised at how easily Gomez turned up the heat on Sasso in the 3rd round. Took him down several times with ease it seemed like. O'Toole put any Hamiti upset talk to rest. Kerk was dominant on his feet against big Papa Cass. The Elam-Warner match may have went to OT, but Elam was clearly the better wrestler.

    If you watch the match, aside from the exposure, Lamer scored 3 takedowns to SVN 1 takedown.

    IMO he would be someone who would fall into the 133/134 weight if we were doing an all-time for those weights.

    Claiming a freshman can beat everyone but Yianni generates discussion, and most of it will be disagreement. Not that hard to understand. Feel free to root for you guys - get excited for your guys, but just know that pre-mature hailing of a king does not go well on this board and nor should it. If SVN proves the statement correct, expect this thread to be resurrected from the other side.
