I know Chance Rich is a lot better than he was, and I am a Pac 12 fan, but let's be real here... that should not be a close match.

Don't know... I guess it also depends on what you mean by "used to be" ... guys going back further than what you were thinking had far less matches... at the end of day, I am not really sure I care about the comparison.... Right now 6 months (or close ) is a very long season. I would rather see the season condensed into 4 months or less. IMO we would see less MIA.

I'm not speaking of number of matches... I am speaking of beginning of October to end of March...time wise.... almost 6 months of a season is a long time to stay healthy and not take the opportunity to miss some matches... but that's another thread.

I agree... a lot of toss ups in this dual. Biggest home dual for Oregon State in a long time.

One thing that Smith said, and many others, which is very true: The season is TOO long. If the season was shortened up it might curtail legitimate "ducks" and possibly shut up the people who call every absence a duck...well probably not them.

On the old board there were a few of us that believed Poulin was going to end up being solid....and a majority believing he was just an internet sensation with a mohawk. Looking good so far as a freshman.

Next Sunday, Oregon State vs Oklahoma State in Corvallis 12 noon PT. Should be a pretty good dual match. The student, Chris Pendleton faces his teacher, John Smith. You can in the Pac 12 true placing matches for an NCAA spot.... but I get your point.

I haven't seen any video or interviews of how this has been handled. Did I miss that part? If the issue is with Lee and his handling of the match and the situation, he's gone in 3 months. If later, when more info comes out, the issue is the program/coaches, then that's a different situation. I guess I'm old school in the fact that's it's never a bad thing to sit down with coaches or those involved and work it out like adults (if possible) rather than the default heading to the portal. At least, that's one of many lessons I learned through the sport.

Scuffle: Stanford, Minny, Ok State, Iowa State, ND State, Midlands: ASU, Nebraska, Princeton Salute: Iowa, Northern Iowa, SDSU I see a pretty good list of teams there (not all of course) with a variety of conferences. A few B10 could face each other here, but I guess I am not one to look out for the B10 vs Everyone Else.... Looks like a very good tourney to me. But of course, it would never happen...

Overall decline I agree... you said "all" tournaments...slightly different but nothing into a squabble over.

Yes... it's this weekend... reviews on Flo. Can't we all just come together for a Midlands Scuffle Salute? That would make for a great tourney... until certain teams bowed out because "they need to get healthy."

Soldier Salute looks like an Iowa wrestle off day in some weights. I guess if you are an Iowa fan then that's a great day for you to see that...meh. Midlands did fall apart.... still a couple matches to look forward to. TBH I'm wanting a Burwick Lamont match on teh backside.

Unless all of those guys were flying out from a different location than the team, it stands to reason that if the rest of the team made it, they should have as well. As a side note, I thought I also saw Michael McGee in the bracket yesterday as well.
