    Nope. Fix issues the best u can but avg test scores in Chicago Public Schools will always suck when all these kids are poor. Gotta accept that. Unless u want to expel all of them for any little problrm. Test scores don't tell you how good a school is. Mostly depends on demographics.

    Could a bigger problem be that 95% of kids in public schools are in poverty, have broken homes, abusive childhoods and come from crime ridden neighborhoods? I've heard that rich kids never attend public schools in Chicago. The avg test score for these groups is always very low, regardless of the teachers.

    Having strong public schools (including funding) creates equal opportunity, or at least somewhat levels the playing field. Cutting funding to public schools destroys it.

    Actually, mspart is right. ONLY conservatives should take advantage of tax loopholes, exemptions and credits. Liberals should all voluntarily pay extra taxes.

    Everybody should pay what they are required to pay. That being said, we should raise taxes for most people. Both the rich AND middle class. But telling people to pay extra taxes on their own simply because they are democrats is a ridiculous argument but par for course for wingers.

    Credit card rewards in form of statement credit aren't taxable for anybody. 0 people in this country pay taxes on those. Just works out that way.

    I prefer to just keep getting new cards w rewards bonuses (eg, $250 if u spend X in Y months). Get the bonus, spend it, then cancel the card. Hurts credit rating a tiny bit but I don't care because I don't borrow $ anyway. I end up with >> $1k in bonus rewards per yr. A lot of the Cc companies won't give me new cards anymore but there are still plenty of suckers out there. It's also tax free if u use it as statement credit.

    I'm actually most interested in the LONG TERM plan. Keep troops (and the extra fbi, ICE agents, etc) there indefinitely ( and away from jobs, other duties and family) and if not what happens after they leave? Either way, unlikely to be a long tem benefit. Few will want to join the NG if this is the crap they end up doing for long periods of time.

    Love it. Greta angers the wingers so much. They can't stand it when a young woman is so lmuch more brilliant than they are and accomplishes so much at such a young age. I think she's great. Strong-willed, smart and has tremendous purpose in her life. That's what life is about!! Let the resentment and envy flow!!!
