  1. I think there is decent enough money in RTC's and sponsorships now + a lot of these guys will coach in some capacity so I'm sure a lot of them will be on the scene a bit longer. I believe Pletcher and Henderson may already be done as they stepped into bigger coaching roles for their porgrams.
  2. That would explain why zahid kicked the brick back if they had previously been warned.
  3. I think they could break the record obviously, but I think it's very unlikely. Lilledahl I believe will AA so that will be a + but I have a hard time asking a TF to do much more than AA. I think this is going to be Nagao and Davis will RS. Nagao just did not seem that competitive with the guys that ended up on the podium. Orine killed him and unless he improves his leg defense I'm stilling probably putting him r12. Bartlett had two pins right at the end of the match which boosted his total as well as I think the pecking order is Alirez/Mendez 1A, 1B and beau behind them. SVN is tricky I honestly think Kasak is more of a sure thing just because SVN has had all the injuries but ill agree on third or better This is where I don't know if I agree I don't think Mitchell will go 157 and I definitely don't think Levi will. I think we could see levi at 174 or him red shirt this year and facudno at 174 so im going to have 157 as a loss just because I do not think either guy goes that weight. MM + for sure I thought facundo looked awesome at the trials but compared to carters points itll be a neg. I do not have nearly enough confidence in Barr to say hes going to outscore Bernie so I disagree with that. Carters bonus rate I believe will be lower at the tournament Aaron bonused to the finals with two pins. Kerk looked honestly bad at trials to his standards so ill go the same for now.
  4. Was watching Joel Adams throw some people on their heads early today so I went to check Michigans roster to see where he was projected to go and did not see him on their wrestlestat. Is he not going to college and just doing greco full time? I know hes most known for his greco accolades but this is a guy that has a few wins over Tyler kasak their final year of HS.
  5. on FRL a few weeks ago they said Mizzou not sure how much substance there is to that.
  6. I think the cut is pretty insane for him so he may be taking some time off and just doing the u20 trials. Duke is more than likely going to finish top2 I am just quite high on gilcher I thought he looked good at the LCQ despite being quite undersized and Cannon is funky and wrestles at a crazy pace and I think has been making big jumps so hes probably a bit of an out of pocket pick but I'm going with it.

  8. https://rokfin.com/article/17161/Cadet-Trials-Contenders-and-Picks https://rokfin.com/article/17185/JR-Open-Preview--Picks will post my picks in a bit, this is my favorite tournament of the year especially as of recently its pretty much the most sought after title for high schoolers now and it gives you a good look at the future. @Husker_Du will you and basch or fellers be doing a show for this?
  9. Smith and Gibson will be super interesting. Both incredible athletes, but I think their weight may be an issue in smiths case he has always been a 106/113 guy so im not sure if he grows into a full sized 125 and in Gibsons case he has the frame of a 125 maybe 133 but those could be difficult cuts.
  10. official for this bout has suspended I wonder if Chamizo gets given the win.
  11. I wish him a speedy recovery I cannot imagine how his family must be feeling having already lost a child, prayers for Tom and his family.
  12. I have terrible memories of JO at the LCQ (hes my favorite wrestler of all time being a PA guy) He was probably wrestling the best he has in his life and just happened to run into the guy who would win worlds later that year and was already a 2x world medalist, this tournament can be an absolute beast. Pyles mentioned on FRl what is beneficial is the new true 5th addition as well as 3 spots being available it makes this tournament slightly less full of monsters as well as allowing you to wrestle back. As long as he can win his first match off the scale, I think he will get better as the day goes on, he looked considerably better in the second match against Lee and very strong against Jesse.
  13. Similar situation to Seabass to me. Likely never can win enough in a row to make a team here but can potentially draw his way into a medal (he's considerably better at free than folk).
  14. does anyone in the portal have PA ties?
  15. The classes of 2017 and 2018 were all timers but I think th3 2024,2025,2026 classes may end up being as good if not better.
  16. I would venture to guess if real woods got 300k to wrestle for 2 seasons spencer got close to a million for signing with the Hawkeye wrestling club and I'm sure his Rudis deal is very lucrative as well. For our sport I think he's living pretty comfortably.
  17. I agree, I just wanted to add I was really impressed with spencer's cardio at trials. He seemed to be able to go all 6 and was actually nose breathing during the break in most of his matches including against Thomas so that is good to see. Aside from Aman and the Iranian rep I would be most concerned with Mongolia for spencer but his trials performance leaves me extremely confident.
  18. PD3 imposes his own limiting factors which allows him to use "what if's" in any argument thus he is never wrong and that is what makes PD3 so great.
  19. If brands has eligibility left he will be red shirting and if he wants to be a 184 I think Red shirting is probably a good thing for him. There's a fine line between confidence and delusion
  20. Dreshaun ross still being cadet eligible is hard for my brain to understand that kids enormous. Ive not gotten to see a ton of Elijah D but Ross gave Sinclair two relatively close bouts last year so he seems like a rather decided favorite. I feel quite good about our chances of medaling at 55,60 (although 60 is always super tough and Rayney can be a bit volatile but hes been there in greco so that helps), Im a big fan of Wolbert but 65 seems a tad big for him so not sure about there. 71 I think Miller if his knee is good to go is absolute nails and I'm very high on James as well they actually remind me a lot of each other both in build and style. Im only really familiar with Snyder at 80 and hes good but I don't know that hes world level good. Ross feels like a lock to medal and dare I say gold. Mocco looked really good at the journeyman and Fargo I just pray he does not his the Macarena again.
  21. Just saw an Interview that said Blaze has not given up a takedown in his high school career and it made me think back to the last takedown Id seen him give up aside from the one against Suriano. I believe the last takedown he gave up was super 32 2022 against Forrest in the wrestle backs. So since then hes gone through ironman ,Ohio states, u17 trials, cadet worlds, Ironman once again, Ohio states once again and then olympic team trials and has surrendered one takedown. Edit palmer and forrest both took him down once at clarion open.
  22. Kenny is an absolute stud he showed out against Castillo being undersized. Universities should really put an investment in the Rayney bros not super often you get a 2 for 1 package of that caliber the Altons are the last instance of that I can recall on their level.
  23. I know he was supposed to go to the LCQ at 57kg but did not end up going I don't know if he could not make the weight. I feel like he could potentially beat out Peterson, Im not entirely sure how big of an upgrade that is to make it worth sitting a guy with a lot of experience who could potentially AA but I think thats a clearer path for him than 141.
  24. lmao it was not loading and it triple posted my apologies
  25. Gibson may be 5'2 with shoes on I think he would be drastically undersized at 141 I'm not sure he beats Oliveri
