He is kinda skinny but has a big back and really long limbs, certainly a better frame than chamizo to make that jump although I think Chamizo is more of an outlier in all regards than someone to base anything off of. Not sure of anyone else that has done it effectively.

How do you guys think Amouzad would do at 70/74 if he dedicated time to putting on size? Feels like he is far and away the best guy in the world for about 3-4 minutes but the cut really seems to kill him to where he is just holding on the last few minutes. I think he would still be big at 70kg and while not big for 74kg a good enough size to where he could really weaponize his pace if he can hold that first period pace for 6 minutes.

Great great wrestler and being an AWA kid I expect him to get much better, however he did not have a super clear path to start ever at okst given the class he is coming in with. Feels like he was always going to be behind Jax,Raney,Robideau,Vega. Thought he may do a year or two though.

Rodolfo was also absolutely juiced out of this planet when he was doing BJJ which I think could be why his cardio sucks so bad, much lower hematocrit without all those androgens.
-
He is booked to fight rodolfo viera on november 15th so like 3 weeks after RAF 2. I think he should potentially prioritize one or the other. I find it funny his claim was that he could still medal at worlds at 86kg and would beat DT but said nothing about wrestling zahid.

Mostly promotion I think but this match goes HORRIBLY for him.

I think Firouzpour and Trent were the best guys at 92kg. Magomedov probably does not replicate that success against either guy now that they have a feel for him. His chest wrap is incredible, reminds me a lot of dake but I think both guys know they can probably just hand fight with him and get him tired and then execute later on.

In DT's defense for Wyatt, Wyatt was probably third or fourth on the American ladder before he went to Stillwater. Now a lot of the guys ahead of him did not compete this year but he beat two guys in folk that were clearly ahead of him before going to Stillwater.
-
Last few meetings have not been particularly competitive outside of the actual score imo. I don't think Kyle can let Azarpira in like he allowed Yoshida. My perception on it despite Azarpira beating Taz is probably that it's closer than I thought going in, but I would still probably have it like 70:30 Azarpira.

I think Trent talked about having a mindset shift at pan am's. He was not super happy with how he wrestled at final x and decided his only focus was going to be to score as many points as possible. I'll be interested to see If Barr closes the gap next year or if it widens in Trent's favor. Seems like a 2-horse race at 92 for the foreseeable future unless Sinclair puts on a little size to help him out.

Two fifths on a razors edge too.

Cardio seemed marginally better than that match, still not good though.
-
Not sure I have ever been happy for someone to win a match. Trent works so freaking hard and has always been one of the best guys but just never the best guy in his bracket, finally gets it done when it matters most.

I would have to imagine the heart issue was really hindering him. We will have a good idea after the next RAF and Bill Ferrell I'm sure.

I think Yianni can hold down 70kg I still have faith.

I would agree but I know he has brought in both otogoru brothers for months as well as vito at times. He also started traveling to train and working with the training lab guy. They seem to be giving him what he needs. I recall in a recent interview saying "I wish people could see me in practice I am a lot better in practice". I also wonder if he bought into everyone saying he was going to steam roll the field so the moment he hit adversity he was not able to recover.

Hope you are well sir

I was just thinking earlier how weird its going to be if they hit at the open next year when they have a few months of high school left. Assuming Jax goes up not sure that he will I know he said 141/149 for college. He mentioned in the Flo interview he walks around anywhere from low to high 140's

I think I have one instance where folk hurt a guy and a style entirely that it helps. Starting with where it helps, I actually think Levi is better at free than folk now but he wrestles very similar in both styles just feeds hips and hand fights until guys start breaking down. I think that he has developed that style from maybe not being the best scrambler ever in folk so in order to ensure he does not get in drawn out positions when hes in hes learned to either suck the leg in at all costs or break his opponent with the hand fight first. An example where I think it hurt us was Jax vs Uguev. I am not entirely sure this is the case because Uguev did a good job of keeping the leg but when uguev went for that lefty single or pick and jax threw him by and sat the corner he ended up on the back and under the arms which probably still ends up in a 3 and 2 in folk but still a net positive for jax where as it ended up as just 2 for uguev in free. Now I'm not sure that Jax had a better option there he probably scores that on any other guy in the world uguev is just really good at keeping that leg and working through but just a position that came to mind for me. I think folk is great because colleges are associated with it. If colleges remained associated and it changed to free I think it would still be great.

I am hoping uww somehow does what is right but I don't think they will Cary kolat Yas. I agree 97 and 125 are going to be big question marks. I am hopeful Rademacher keeps making strides and that Dreshaun can fill out his frame. Levi does seem like a guy that cannot go up or down but unless KOT has something to say I think he can run that weight for the next 2 quads.

We have 3 guys 21 or younger on the senior team Jax(18),PJ(19),Levi(21) (3-2 5th, 1-1 DNP, 3-0 wrestling for gold) 4 other u20 world champs 1 has another year of u20 eligibility (Marcus(18), Stanich(20), McNelly(20), Rademacher(20) Guys that have not yet competed this year internationally and or did not win gold at u20's: Mitchell Messenbrink(22) (u20 champ, u20 silver, u23 bronze Beat David carr once) Bo Bassett(19) (u20 bronze, Cadet gold) Ladarion Lockett(19) (u20 5th, u20 silver, Cadet gold) Will Henckel(19) (u20 silver) Josh Barr(21) (u20 silver) Zack ryder(19) (u20 silver, 2x cadet bronze) Connor Mirasola(20) (u20 bronze u20 5th) Cole Mirasola(20) (u20 bronze) Luke Lilledahl(20) (u20 gold, u20 silver, cadet gold, cadet silver) Ben Keuter(21) (u20 gold, u20 silver) And there are a bunch of other guys waiting in the wings Miller, James, Raney twins etc... I just think its important to remember that we are probably the best country in the world under 23 and under right now so not to get too down on not winning 8 medals at seniors.

I am thinking this may mean its a wrap at least for BO Melvin was wrestling at Tyrant duals. Keegan was not wrestling but listed so I assume he decided to go with BO? I wonder if the three are not 100% a package deal.
-
I think he would retire and go into coaching before he leaves Iowa personally. I also do not think its an Iowa problem for him specifically I think he has a mental block.
-
Javan is good for his age but realistically he is probably like the 6th or 7th best guy in the bracket imo just got on the right side.
-
All learning experiences for Jax, I truly think he will go down as one of if not the greatest american wrestlers ever. One of the deepest weights and he was in every single match outside of some tactical errors. He also still looks like a boy its only up from here.
