Wrong thread. This is about how Trump wishes he had the respect of people for serving in the military, and talks tough, but when he had the chance to serve in a war, he chickened out.

I think the Trumpanzees here are trying to draw a false equivalent to doing things that are already illegal, like torching a car, to burning a US flag, which in most cases is not illegal.

Trump desperately craves the respect and authority that somebody who served in the military and was in a war commands. Yet the closest he got was avoiding service for health issues even though he claims to be the healthiest president ever. He did say that hanging out at Studio 54 and allegedly avoiding contracting an STD was like going to Vietnam though. So maybe he should get a medal for not getting the clap?
