  1. It stands to reason that somebody who speaks English would be teaching a class where few people can speak another language. It wasn't like it was math where that doesn't matter.
  2. I wasn't the only one who didn't appreciate having a TA who barely speaks English trying to teach the class.
  3. Oh you mean it was MAGA extremists who did it? As Captain Renault would say, "I'm shocked. Shocked!"
  4. The university I attended has high paid researchers teaching, and they look at it as an annoyance they have to show up to teach 200-300 level courses. I took exception to that is all.
  5. I thought the first takedown should be the only one worth 3, or a reversal should be 3 or 4 since it's harder to get than a takedown.
  6. The field I got my undergrad is the most likely thing I'd pursue a PhD in. It's something I'm good at and know, and if I did want to teach at the university level, I'd need it. During my undergrad days I butted heads with some people, some I got along with great. Turned out the ones I butted heads with were the people who have more say in certain things. Also I publicly supported a now former professor in our department who was tried twice on federal charges (hung jury, acquitted). So getting a PhD there would be a bad idea. If I wanted to be called Dr. I'd have gone to medical school.
  7. I do. I already voted 3 times using dead relatives.
  8. Nah. Just a lowly MS. I pissed off about half the people who'd read my PhD thesis as an undergrad.
  9. Trump loves the poorly educated.

  11. There is a big difference from being sued in civil court and facing criminal charges, like that tweet from a notoriously unreliable news source claims. I actually googled that, and the only places I can find that story are on the typical lunatic fringe websites that repeat untrue or exaggerated stories. So you are choosing to believe a news source that is extremely unreliable.
  12. FDR was a dictator? I must have missed that during my undergrad days in history.
  13. I wouldn't say he flip flops. He just says whatever he thinks will be popular with the ignorant clods who compromise his voting base. It doesn't have to be factual or correct. Like him lying about Haitian people eating cats. It just has to appeal to the slack jawed troglodytes who make up his core of supporters.
  14. His Chief of Staff was sitting right there when he said it.
  15. https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-trump-racism-election-obama-018824651613 Literally took 30 seconds.
  16. 1. Yes he is racist. Not only with his words but his actions. It is well documented. 2. He praised Hitler in private and has expressed admiration for similar activities, such as rounding people up, using the military against people he doesn't like, etc. his open praise of dictators who murder their political opponents is more than troubling.
  17. You really believe that? I wasn't aware Gates had anything to do with running a vaccine program. He may give money to organizations that do, but his involvement basically ends there. I guess you really do believe anything.
  18. Or in this case, Trump praises Hitler.
  19. Actually yeah that is what Trump is. If it meant he would get more votes or make money or in some way it would benefit him, he would be all for it. I don't expect much from somebody who launched their political career based on racist lies. His position on anything is what's in it for him. If tomorrow being pro choice meant he would win, he would be all over that. He stands for nothing, a "rule of law" candidate who is a convicted felon. A "pro family" candidate who is on his 3rd marriage and is a well known philanderer. A "business minded" candidate who has had to file for bankruptcy many times and only was allowed to on the condition he was no longer running the business. A "military supporter" who called dead soldiers losers and suckers, and when he had a chance to serve, chickened out of actually serving in the military. So yes, Trump is a spineless weasel who will say or do anything to benefit himself.
  20. Does your back hurt with all the bending over backwards to defend this ***duck**wit?
  21. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/trump-wanted-generals-hitlers-nazi-leader-good-things-115063855 Trump praises them
  22. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/trump-wanted-generals-hitlers-nazi-leader-good-things-115063855 Just Nazi praising.
  23. Pretty sure Trump lost an election then threw a temper tantrum trying to overthrow the government.
  24. I don't think one gesture makes up for decades of a pattern of behavior.
