  1. I wonder if he fell on the sword for Gaetz or something like that, on the promise or hope he could get pardoned in the future. Kind of like what happened with Roger Stone.
  2. ASU didn't plan long term at all and now that their biggest financial backer rode off into the sunset, it's going to be really tough to compete especially in the new NIL era without somebody else who can pick up the slack. Zeke was told this could happen years ago and nobody did anything to prepare.
  3. "The sequence and timing of Mr. Gaetz's resignation from the House raises serious questions about the contents of the House Ethics Committee report," Durbin said in a statement Thursday. "We cannot allow this valuable information from a bipartisan investigation to be hidden from the American people. Make no mistake: this information could be relevant to the question of Mr. Gaetz's confirmation as the next attorney general of the United States and our constitutional responsibility of advice and consent." Republican Sen. John Cornyn of Texas told reporters Thursday morning he "absolutely" wants to see the House Ethics Committee's report on Gaetz. "I think there should not be any limitation on the Senate Judiciary Committee's investigation, including whatever the House Ethics Committee has generated," he said. The Senate Judiciary Committee, which will be chaired by a Republican when the new Congress is seated in January, will conduct confirmation hearings for the nominee for attorney general.
  4. The point is you're not going to get rid of it in one fell swoop by appointing a guy whose only interest is continuing to get richer from the kind of contracts and supposed fraud or waste he is supposed to be preventing. It would be like you saying you are going to become a spokesperson for quick hair growth or being able to do basic accounting. Nobody's going to believe it.
  5. A big part of how and why they waste money is because of how contractors are set up. Especially military. Various people in Congress have their own interests for whomever they represent, and if let's say a military base is in their district and they are going to be closed down and put a hole in the economy of that district, the congressman in that district might take action to prevent the base from closing. Even if the base uses and trains on outdated equipment. One of the best examples was the A10 Warthog which was kept around for years despite being a money loser and outdated. Maybe the factory to build them was kept open by somebody else in Congress too. Most of the waste, just off the top of my head, probably comes from the military doing things like this.
  6. I don't really have a compelling reason to. I think most sensible people know doing that was bad. Maybe those signs were an indication of something like, "This person doesn't pay their bills like Trump" or "Hey this person might take a shot at me for being from FEMA". I don't agree with that, and she was rightfully fired.
  7. I wonder if he is going to try to get a pardon himself or end the investigation into his sex trafficking case.
  8. Well their strategy of becoming wealthy is this: Be born wealthy.
  9. Apparently you stopped reading after the first line. You have to keep reading.
  10. RFK Jr is a wacko who's own family have come out against him publicly.
  11. Yeah I'm sure his dad didn't help them at all. Or if he had not succeeded he couldn't have gone home and lived relatively well. You probably believe that Trump built himself up with just a million dollar loan from his dad too.
  12. So Trump appointed a guy who, like him, was born wealthy and had to do very minimal work to become wealthy. Musk didn't create anything himself. He saw opportunity and got involved early with PayPal and that was really what started him off. He also didn't create Tesla, the company existed well before he knew about it. Strange how Trump is appointing a immigrant from Africa to do this, after he began his political career with a racist lie about a rival of his being born in Africa.
  13. They'll hire Lesnar as an assistant coach.
  14. Isn't that the definition of mainstream? Having a huge audience?
  15. Says a guy whose website is now flooded with ads because he did such a poor job of accounting and took heavy losses betting on the Washington Generals.
  16. You should probably stop projecting, learn to spell properly and get a new source of information that isn't a social media app that teenagers use to troll each other.
  17. I don't watch TV honestly. I have one and cable, but I only watched the end of a college football game so far. Pretty boring right?
  18. Because TikTok is such a great source of news.
  19. Yes really. The reasoning behind denying Garland was that they were 6 months from the election and McConnell said the voters should decide. Yet when Trump was less than 30 days from the election, they sped up the process to get Conley appointed before the election, instead of "letting the voters decide".
  20. Kind of like how Merrick Garland was nominated for the SC but they wouldn't allow it, but then under almost the exact same circumstances, an appointment made by Trump was allowed.
  21. That's almost as ridiculous.
  22. Trying to get his real estate license in Arizona.
  23. People always make suggestions like this. It'll never happen. When Jesse Ventura was governor of Minnesota, he suggested he would step down early so his Lt. Governor could be the first woman governor of the state. Obviously that didn't happen.
  24. I don't think this is accurate at all.
