  1. Shooter was 200+ yards away. So obviously whoever it was had some training. That's not something an amateur could pull off.

  4. Sept. 8, 2025 President Trump suggested on Monday that offenses that “take place in the home” should not count against his record of crime reduction in Washington, saying his opponents are using reports of “a little fight with the wife” to undermine his crackdown. During remarks at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, Mr. Trump made a series of false statements about the level of crime in the nation’s capital, where he has ordered a federal takeover of law enforcement. The president claimed without evidence that there was now zero crime in Washington. While crime is, in fact, declining in the capital — and Washington’s mayor has credited the federal law enforcement surge with contributing to the decline — there are still robberies, assaults and thefts occurring on a daily basis. On Sunday alone, there was a homicide, six motor vehicle thefts, two assaults with a deadly weapon, four robberies and more than 30 thefts, according to police statistics. “There’s no crime. They said, ‘Crime’s down 87 percent,’” Mr. Trump said Monday. “It’s more than 87 percent — virtually nothing.” While Mr. Trump has made such false claims before, on Monday he sounded particularly aggrieved that domestic violence crimes were counting against him. “Things that take place in the home they call crime,” he said. “They’ll do anything they can to find something. If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say this was a crime scene.” Those comments provoked quick criticism. “Just a casual dismissal of domestic violence as a crime,” Sarah Longwell, a longtime Republican political strategist, wrote on social media. The president has often sought to create an alternative reality of crime statistics to support the law enforcement actions he wishes to take. On Monday he said people had categorized Washington as “the worst, the most violent city” in America, despite statistics showing a major crime decline in the nation’s capital even before his crackdown. He has also targeted a series of other cities that are experiencing a crime decline, including Chicago, Baltimore and New Orleans. “I don’t know why Chicago isn’t calling us saying, please give us help,” Mr. Trump said on
  5. There's been way worse shows that aired more than one episode than that. Case in point, the WB Network in the early to mid 90's. They'd put practically anything on TV. Also UPN around that same time put out some really awful shows, like The Secret Diaries of Desmond Pfiffer. Possibly the worst show ever aired. I think it got cancelled midway through the second episode.
  6. No more than alleged Christians in this country who want their religion to be the law of the land.

  8. Apparently you didn't read the article.
  9. Like a lot of other franchises, this one has gone on way too long. The first two movies were great. After that everything I've seen feels forced, created just to bleed the fanboys dry.
  10. So nobody is going to say, "Gee maybe hitting women is bad."?
  11. That is crazy. She gave birth on her own, no help, and then just took care of it on her own afterwards. And she competed not long afterwards.
  12. Maybe he uses that floating thing without legs to save him from the embarrassment of trying to swim.
  13. I always assumed he was too top heavy or bulky and would sink. Like most superheroes he's bound to have some bulls--- weakness.
  14. I like the idea of a league or something, but we already have that sort of. Wrestling is an individual sport, like golf or tennis. I think they should follow that model. We have two major international tournaments in the US, the Schultz and NYAC. What they should do is make it a tour style entity, incorporate those two existing events, and hold smaller, localized tournaments to build up lower level competition. They could hold another 5 tournaments in wrestling hotbeds across the country. Like they could hold one in California somewhere, then Iowa, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Meanwhile they could hold smaller events in other places as a way to qualify for the bigger events. The PGA does this sort of. Why not wrestling? By keeping the big events in wrestling hotbeds, you guarantee you'll have good attendance. Then use the smaller events to build up and eventually expand.
  15. Provide your source on this information.
  16. Just more casual disdain for women from the GOP https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/08/us/politics/trump-domestic-violence-crime-statistics.html
  17. I think Steve Martin's son wrestled at North Carolina but I think by then that alleged university in Norfolk had dropped wrestling. Who's to say he would have gone there though?
  18. I don't think he ever intended to or cared about it. It was just one of many lies he told to get people to vote for him. The thing with Trump is, pretty much his whole life has been privileged. Daddy bought his education, gave him a "job", had people around him so he couldn't mess up too much. He's never really faced any consequences or anything, so to him he's been able to do and say whatever he wants with nothing happening to him. Like bragging about committing sexual assault, making fun of a handicapped person, etc. He assumed saying that would be like any other thing he's said, where he never gets held accountable. Or he could spin it into something else, like how he was an FBI informant all along, and pretend like he never really said it. This is different, and partially it's his own doing. He campaigned heavily on and gave tacit approval to wackos who believe that QAnon is real, that he was going after supposed pedophiles and satanists who prey on children, and now that he's obstructing documents that could reveal some truth to who might have been involved in child trafficking and sex abuse, he won't do it. So some of those angry cranks are turning against him.
  19. Angle vs Jadidi II.
  20. Praise be Oliver!
  21. Jimmy just wants attention.
  22. No it really isn't. A conversation implies you are doing something besides trolling and using multiple accounts. This isn't a conversation. You talking to yourself is more of one, because you take yourself seriously. I don't take you seriously.
  23. Except Trump campaigned on him releasing the files. Now he doesn't want to because it's probably embarrassing for him and possibly even criminal.
