    This ^

The protection of a President or candidate for President rests solely on the Secret Service, period.    They should have had all roof tops within sight of the stage protected period.

Why are we fixated on colonizing on Mars? I don’t see any oceans for kayaks.  Wearing a space suit will undoubtedly lessen the smoking experience, whether it be brisket or ganja….and there are no alligators to shoot at.

    Why is this attractive?

This is really an important issue.   No smoking of meats there?   HaHa!   I'm not going.

There is a 2 tiered justice system for sure if any of us plebs on the board had classified documents laying out we would be rotting in prison but the person who appointed the judge presiding over his case has no repercussions this country is such a joke lmao

You might look at Biden and Hillary.   Are they rotting in prison.   There is a two tiered justice system.   And it has nothing to do with who appointed who.

Until any actual evidence to the contrary arrives, I agree.  The secret service will be excoriated for this, as they should be.  A poor job.  People will be fired.

Biden doesn't fire people.   There will be no firings for this fiasco of a protection detail.   You have an outdoor event.   You scan the area for elevated places where someone could shoot from and you nail those down so no one gets there.   The shooter was on a rooftop in plain sight of the stage.   No one will get fired for this lack of security.

  5. Hi RV, you could have just posted this rather than link to it but it helps make my point.  Tax rates went down from 1962 to today generally.

But look at the revenues since 1962:

Please note that 2023 is at the left and 1962 is at the right.    I got this data from https://www.thebalancemoney.com/current-u-s-federal-government-tax-revenue-3305762

Revenues went up as tax rates went down.   Funny how that works.

Have you heard the saying, 'if everything is priority then nothing is'?

Cuz that's what it seems like you're saying. They aren't prioritizing your pet project. That can be frustrating. But if so, do more research. Try to convince people with facts. Instead of.... this. If you actually take it serious.

What were your thoughts on the border bill that was killed recently. Did you like it? Were you ok with the reason it went away after being painstakingly negotiated as it was? Was the 'perfect' the enemy of the good? Would you rather the credit for 'fixing' the problem go to your preferred candidate rather than helping the people that are being harmed?

What are the American people most concerned with.   According to polls, illegal immigration is near the top of the list.   That sounds like something to key in on.   Not my pet project.   It is most people's pet project.

My thoughts on the Senate's border bill is that it was a joke.    Allow up to 5000 illegals entry per day before "maybe" something happens to shut that down.   Because it is left up to the executive's whim to do something about it.   It was not statutory to do something.   It was essentially what is happening now anyway.   It would have been no different than current situation.

The people being harmed are the US citizens having to pay for housing for these illegals.  The people being harmed are those coming over from all over the world with the cartels running the show and exacting money and blood and sex.   There is no reason to accept this at all.

I'm actually conservative by 1990s standards.

Not with your Tax and spend philosophy.   Not with your war on the rich.   Not with your tax way more and don't hold down spending.   You have no answer to increasing spending other than tax more.   You are no conservative by any decade's standard.  Good luck trying to convince us.

There's zero argument against the FACT that the center has completely shifted to the right. I actually used to consider myself a Republican but as the entire country has gone off the deep end to the right, I now lean left.

Basically, everything, social and fiscal, have shifted radically to the right. It's crazy.

RV you don't lean left.   You are way to the left of center.   You have for years tried to maintain that you are just left of center.   Not based on what you have been posting.

  9. So Biden says no action is needed because there are already laws in effect.   Well Sr. Biden, there are already laws in effect that do not allow illegal entry into the US.   You have ignored those laws.   What makes anyone think you won't ignore the voting laws as well?

  10. My daughter works at Walgreens.   They cannot stop shoplifters even when they see them.   The most they can do is call the Sheriff or Police and have a no trespassing citation against the perp.   If they see them in the store again, they call the police again and the guys gets escorted out if he/she hasn't left already.

Otherwise, they do not report any shoplifting crimes.   They cannot stop shoplifting crimes as that is against company policy.   The perps know where they stand.   Shoplift and go.   No problem.   It is the way it is in countless communities.

It’s amazing even with the skeeters.  I have no idea what a slug is but it sounds way worse.

I'm sure Boundary Waters is amazing.   I went on a 50 mile hike at Mt Rainier.   We were told to wear long sleeves and have a bug hat because the skeeters are unrelenting.   And they were.   Most of the time didn't need the bug nets.   But we did need them some of the time.   We left a campground because of too many mosquitos.   They won the day.

  12. Slug eats dead slug : r/natureismetalCannibals.   I hate slugs.

They will actually lock up mouth to mouth and see which one can suck the other one's guts out.   Really disgusting, there is nothing lovable about them.   My dad thought there might be a cancer cure in their slime but I don't think anything good can come from a slug.

That law was already passed in 1996 lmao it’s already against the law for non citizens to vote in federal elections

It is also against the law for illegals to enter the country.   Yet it happens and we make housing accommodations for them.

That was my mistake - not "sexual assault. To be accurate, it was "liable for sexual abuse" and also "defamation."

It's no excuse, but I didn't focus on the getting all the details because I assumed everyone here already knew.

I won't make that mistake again. (Not necessarily because folks don't know, but because some folks like to claim not to.)

When you focus on details that are not true and get called out on it, it doesn't mean you didn't focus on the details because you assumed everyone on here already knew.   You are trying validate a false premise and hoping not to get called out on it.   You rightly got called out on it.   E. Jean Carroll can't even remember the year this happened.   So she is a spot on witness to the behavior that Trump was liable for.   Of course she should remember.   But she didn't.   You can't make much of a case when you can't remember as Christine Blasey Ford found out in a very public way.   But it worked because it was Trump.

With regard to the felony convictions, I will provide the first three of 34 indictments here and you tell us all what law he broke to have a felony conviction on each indictment:

THE GRAND JURY OF THE COUNTY OF NEW YORK, by this indictment, accuses the defendant of the crime of FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS IN THE FIRST DEGREE, in violation of Penal Law §175.10, committed as follows:
The defendant, in the County of New York and elsewhere, on or about February 14, 2017, with intent to defraud and intent to commit another crime and aid and conceal the commission thereof, made and caused a false entry in the business records of an enterprise, to wit, an invoice from Michael Cohen dated February 14, 2017, marked as a record of the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, and kept and maintained by the Trump Organization.

    SECOND COUNT:
AND THE GRAND JURY AFORESAID, by this indictment, further accuses the defendant of the crime of FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS IN THE FIRST DEGREE, in violation of Penal Law §175.10, committed as follows:
The defendant, in the County of New York and elsewhere, on or about February 14, 2017, with intent to defraud and intent to commit another crime and aid and conceal the commission thereof, made and caused a false entry in the business records of an enterprise, to wit, an entry in the Detail General Ledger for the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, bearing voucher number 842457, and kept and maintained by the Trump Organization.

    THIRD COUNT:
AND THE GRAND JURY AFORESAID, by this indictment, further accuses the defendant of the crime of FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS IN THE FIRST DEGREE, in violation of Penal Law §175.10, committed as follows:
The defendant, in the County of New York and elsewhere, on or about February 14, 2017, with intent to defraud and intent to commit another crime and aid and conceal the commission thereof, made and caused a false entry in the business records of an enterprise, to wit, an entry in the Detail General Ledger for the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, bearing voucher number 842460, and kept and maintained by the Trump Organization.

Now in order to make these felonies, he had to have intent to commit another crime.   Please state that other crime that he was convicted of.   Does it not seem extremely strange to you that a felony indictment is not specific as to waht other crime was committed to make it a felony?   Because, the business records issues are misdemeanors and past the statute of limitations, unless they can prove another crime, whereupon it becomes a felony.   What specific other crime did he commit for felony conviction on these charges?   You can't state what it was because it was never presented in court with evidence.   The judge told the jurors that they did not have to agree on what Trump supposedly did out of 3 different choices.   Just that he did something and that would be enough for conviction.   So please tell us what he was convicted of specifically.   You can't have a felony conviction unless the charge is specific.   But it worked because it was Trump.   So please illuminate our minds and be specific.
