2025 Inaugural Expected Points and AAs
Wrestleknownothing replied to Wrestleknownothing's topic in College Wrestling
6.6 does not include Lilledahl. If Lilledahl is seeded top 8 then the over/under would be 7.5. -
Illinois' punter is 31. And that doesn't even make him the oldest. There are two 32 year olds in D1 football.

Iowa wrestling machine explained
Wrestleknownothing replied to Maxwell Smart's topic in College Wrestling
Going to a big match at CHA (Iowa St, Ok St, PSU) is highly recommended. I have gone twice and it was an electric atmosphere. When they thought Kemerer got the last second takedown of Starocci for the win, it was the loudest man made noise I have ever heard. It made me dizzy. -

Interestingly Wrestlestat has Gabe Arnold at 174 for Iowa while Intermat has Patrick Kennedy instead. Wrestlestat also has Trey Munoz going 197 for Oregon State while Intermat has him at 184. And as a result Wrestlestat has Rademacher #26 at 197 on his individual page, but he does not appear on the rankings page. Likewaise Josh Heindselman. Even though he is ranked #12 at 285 on his individual page and Juan Mora is ranked #45, because Mora is tagged as the starter, Heindselman does not appear in the 285 rankings. -
The new season is almost here, which means pre-season rankings are finally available. I have updated my expected points by seed and probability of AA by seed to reflect results from the 16 and 33 seed eras (2014 - 2024). At least for now I did this using both Intermat and Wrestlestat rankings. I may, or may not, keep doing that. Flo is only ranking to 24 spots at the moment, so they are out. I may also do a composite ranking. Who knows? Stay tuned. Oh, and freshmen are not yet included in any of these rankings. Without further ado: Wow, PSU in the lead early in the season. No one saw that coming.

Truth Social execs all bail out
Wrestleknownothing replied to Saylors_Tiny_Willie's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
The more interesting element of this story is the whistleblower angle. The story describes employees "whistleblowing" to the Board, and the Board retaliating against them. If that is the case, the employees really blew it (pun intended). If, instead of complaing to the Board, they had done their whistleblowing to the DOL they would have been protected against retaliation. But by allegedly doing this with the Board, they were not. Doesn't mean no one will sue, just means, if they do, they will do it alone. Big mistake. -

Why doesn't Penn State have a girl's team?
Wrestleknownothing replied to AnklePicker's topic in College Wrestling
The article states the opposite. It says you only need to satisfy one element. And by the metrics shared in the article, they do satisfy number 2. If it were all elements then 10 of the 14 B1G schools fail, because they fail the first test. -
So far Intermat, Flo, and Wrestlestat have published their pre-season rankings. Intermat has Ferrari #1 at 197 Flo has him #4 behind Stephen Buchannan, Jacob Cardenas, and Rocky Elam, but ahead of Stephen Little (UALR), Isaiah Salazar (Minn), Michael Beard (Lehigh), and Silas Allred (Neb). Wrestlestat has him #67 behind a list too long to type. I think putting him #1 is madness. Sure he has a national title, but I keep going back to my firmly held belief that no one gets better at wrestling by not wrestling. And the one time we saw him wrestle in the past several years he looked like a blood round guy, at best. If it was me, I have to rank him just outside the top 8. He is somewhere between a freshman with no college results and no initial ranking, and someone with recent results I can lean on to make an informed ranking decision. Hilariously, Intermat made his photo black and white because he is in an OSU singlet, but maybe it was an unintentional statement about how long ago that photo was taken.

Trump is now spouting patently crazy stuff.

That is what the appointment will decide. Let's take the example of the "white dude from Michigan." If he shows up for the appointment, which he 1,000% will not, it will get him nothing because he is clearly not who he claimed to be in the app. You guys accept so many Donald Trump statements uncritically. But the moment you are challenged on ludicrous stuff like immigrants are stealing and eating pets, or Harris created an app designed to tell cartels where they can bring illegals for drop off, you become a bunch of amateur sleuths, with predictable results. -

What exactly do you think this demonstrates? Because it does not demonstrate that someone can use it to get into the country illegally. Maybe search deeper into your twitter feed for a reply, as I do not expect you to have an original thought. -

Yes, I can absolutely confirm that the description mspart posted does not match, in any way, what Trump said. But I know you were trying to be cute and did not mean it that way. So here is a question for you. Are you asking Donald Trump the same question, or is that where you suspend disbelief? -
Why doesn't Penn State have a girl's team?
Wrestleknownothing replied to AnklePicker's topic in College Wrestling
Using just the analysis from the article, PSU meets point 2. They stated that there were 10 women's athletes added in 6 years. What I am especially curious about is the male practice partners for female athletes. Why do they exist? Are they there because they cannot find enough female practice partners? Are they there because they need tougher practice partners than a female who would be that far down the roster? Are these spots held for men, or are women allowed to occupy them? If women are allowed to occupy them, why don't they? Are coaches complicit by soft blackballing women from the spots? -

Because the description and use of the app you provided in no way matches the definition of Trump's phantom app. -

This is not religious for me. It is not a system of beliefs. Yes, Biden got more votes in 2020 than anyone ever has, including Donald Trump in 2020. It was the highest voter turnout in percentage terms since 1900. Combined that with the largest ever US population, and it would be stunning if that was not the case. Donald Trump is bad at math and says mathematically dumb things, like "how can he have more votes than me when I have more votes than last time?" And people eat that dumb shit up without question. Instead of looking at stats like voter turnout and population growth, they want to invent conspiracies. Or more correctly, they want to believe the conspiracies Donald Trump invented. -

Amen. The worst part was when the moderators left the microphones on for Vance's response to "Did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?" -
I think they scored those first two 2-1 and 2-2 making it 4-3 at intermission.
