I think I already blew it. I started posting on HVI and HB without securing my bag from Ira Lubert or Bob Nicolls first.

Good news then, WKN has entered the portal, too.

Occupations with the highest share of noncitizen US workers: 49.2% plasters and stucco masons 41.8% agricultural product sorters 38.3% drywall and ceiling tile installers 36.8% roofers 35.6% other agricultural workers 32.5% painters and paperhangers 31.9% flooring installers 30.9% cleaners 28.6% construction laborers 26.8% masonry workers But all these deportations will bring down grocery prices, assuming you do not want your food sorted, or picked, or anything else.

Musk's ability to make money is simply stunning. His $56 billion ($101 billion at current TSLA price) pay package got shot down again yesterday...and he is still the world's richest person by north of $100 billion.

Injuries: Euton, Nagao, et al

The rarest of data, acknowledged injuries. -
Not a lot changing in the rankings these days, so.... Who has had the largest change in Elo among wrestlers ranked in both the 10/29 and 12/2 wrestlestat rankings? How 'bout them Illini?* * Let us not speak of Edmond Ruth's Elo. The team wide Elos are mostly impacted by individual wrestlers entering or leaving the rankings. For the team I include the number of wrestlers added or lost from the rankings (the first number listed), Along with the Dec.2 Elo for the team (second number listed). For Cornell, they added two ranked wrestlers and their current team Elo total is 15,104. The scale on the left shows the change in Elo (the bars). Cornell's Elo increased by almost 3,000 (2,972).

When Does Trump Pardon His Son?
Wrestleknownothing replied to Wrestleknownothing's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
Anyone who gives a rip about influence peddling. This isn't any junk coin. This is a junk coin where 75% of the proceeds go to Trump. Where the payor is being charged with fraud by the government that the payee is about to lead. You spend a lot of time calling people dummies around here. Stop being one. -
Not once for me.
-
Next he will pardon his son-in-law's father who hired a prostitute to frame his brother-in-law and then name him ambassador to France. Or was that Trump?
-
Maybe he's not here because PBR was too wonderful.

Oops. I misspelled that. Sun. When does Trump pardon Sun? Justin Sun. You know Justin Sun. Justin Sun is the crypto dude who just paid $6.2 million for the banana(s) taped to the wall. Justin Sun is also charged with fraud by the SEC for manipulating the price of his Tron cryptocurrency with fake trades (he denies it). Justin Sun is also the guy who just announced he was buying $30 million of the Trump cryptocurrency, World Liberty. But why does that matter you may reasonably ask? Well, you see, World Liberty has been a flop so far. They have sold only 7% of the target, which also is too small to trigger a payout to Trump. But Sun's "investment" will trigger a payout of at least $15 million to Trump. Mind you the only purpose of these tokens is to funnel money to Trump. Now that the trigger is hit Trump gets paid 75% of all proceeds, the "company" does not do anything, and the tokens cannot be sold. Oh, and Sun said he does not expect any favors in return for his "investment". Now let's talk about that crime family. For those of you interest in humor here is the World Token white paper, which of course they predictably, and hilariously, call a gold paper: https://static.worldlibertyfinancial.com/docs/intl/gold-paper.pdf

Is anyone surprised? Of course, he pardoned his son.

I have been trying to figure out who Jimmy is on the Rivals boards. Any theories?
-
BTW, I asked over on the Iowa board and they seem pretty convinced he will return this season.

With wrestlestat removing Teemer and Minnesota able to handle their tryptophan better than South Dakota State, the podium battle keeps heating up. Iowa and Minnesota going in opposite directions. And remember that wrestlestat still has Gable Steveson sitting in fifth. There is a lot of upside left for the most Golden of Gophers.
-
wrestlestat has removed Teemer from their rankings and put the med redshirt icon next to his name. I have no idea if that is correct or not.
-
I was thinking of a physical maturity advantage rather than an advantage from more folkstyle training. If that is the case then you also have to bring Zain Retherford back into the conversation. While he took a redshirt it was after his freshman year. And Steveson has taken two redshirts after his freshman year. So do you just rank the three best years instead of all four? Or just the last three? Are non-consecutive years better? Or worse? This also got me thinking about another choice that I implicitly made that no one has called me on yet. Specifically, why should my categories be equal weighted? Why should major decision rate have the same weight as pinfall rate? Ditto for opposition ranks. How do you properly deal with ranks across result types? Lee had fewer pinfalls than Nolf, but they came against tougher competition. How do you adjust for that?
-
Agreed. On the flipside, if Steveson wins this year, as I have assumed, he will do it in his seventh year out of high school where Nolf and Nickal did it in their fifth year out of high school. At this level it is safe to assume that the athletic peak occurs later. So do you penalize Steveson for winning at an older age?
