  1. 100%...There is a legendary wrestler who never won PIAA at the lower weights. Jumped to 160 senior year. Won it. Then went on to win 3 national titles in D1. Lower weight guys are just better wrestlers.
  2. Just assuming but was thinking the New Orleans attacker planned to use an EV because of the reduced noise
  3. Theyre only mentioning it because they wanted Texas to lose. I literally put the video up and it clearly shows a more credible targeting call vs the one everyone is being overly dramatic about
  4. If they weren't going to call this than they weren't going to call the latter. GOOD JOB by the reviewers and refs for keeping it consistent
  5. The first one was clearer targeting than the second. They were consistent
  6. Below is the rule book for targeting in College Football. Kudos to the refs for not calling it after they didn't call it on the Bond interception targeting hit. They kept it consistent. ARTICLE 4 No player shall target and make forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, hand, fist, elbow or shoulder This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below) When in question, it is a foul (Rules 2-27-14 and 9-6). Note 1: “Targeting” means that a player takes aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with forcible contact that goes beyond making a legal tackle or a legal block or playing the ball Some indicators of targeting include but are not limited to: • Launch A player leaving their feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area • A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground • Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area • Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet
  7. It doesn't have to be helmet to helmet. He led with his forearm. Hit him in the head. By definition of the rule book that is targeting
  8. They stayed consistent with the no call after not calling it on the interception
  9. Peppelman brothers from Central Dauphin...They were studs. I know of 3 that wrestled D1. Think there is a 4th brother but don't know where he landed in college
  10. This is under panel review. Just waiting for @Wrestleknownothing with the chart to further analyze
  11. He also never placed higher than 5th at 174, jumped 2 weights, and made it to the finals. Studs like Brooks, Hidlay, Nickal all made significant jumps in bonus rates going up to 197. It's just not an elite weight class. We've had one, J'Den Cox, true 197 pounder in the last decade that is world class. Could add Snyder if he didn't make that early transition to 97kg
  12. Yes, they are sharp and larger. They cut into the soil which helps regeneration
  13. @Wrestleknownothing need a chart. Two brothers, Three Schools, Two Different Schools, One Same School
  14. Do Eskimo brothers count because I believe that list could be long
  15. @ionel prolific different schools official panel review. UCLA/Okie State Count? I say it does
  16. It's a graphting nightmare but we have to count the 2006-2012? Colorado Springs/Iowa City Senior Level grapht
  17. Some honorable mentions that are outside of what OP is asking but somewhat part of the Brands Tree. Mocco & Doug Schwab
  18. How far into the rabbit hole are we? Have we discussed how the US is going to have to pay Brazil to stop cutting down the Amazon yet? Thats right fellas. Agriculture contributes to larges quantities of greenhouse gasses. Always found this interesting. If we replaced cattle with bison it would benefit the environment due to hooves. Bison aerate the soil helping with seed dispersal
  19. How about we agree on slightly above average skill. This is 197 after all. The weight where former 174 and 184 pound studs like to move up and pad their bonus point rate
  20. Anyone who saw that match have a breakdown? Hard to imagine there was a gap in skill and more likely a huge gap in strength & size
  21. Just reread what I posted and apologies that I worded it incorrectly. Addressing the same problem with two different perspectives. If we agree the government is bad at self policing itself than our only option to combat it is with our voting power. Will it get solved in the near term? Probably not but I would still put the blame on the voters.
  22. We're addressing two different problems. I'm pointing out that there is an actual solution to this. The Voters
  23. It still is our fault because we have an extremely easy remedy for this. At the end of the day the only ones that deserve to have the finger pointed at them are the voters that continue to vote these politicians in.
  24. Maybe not D1 but is there anything more prolific than the Lackman brothers wrestling each other in the D3 finals 2 years ago?
