  1. I agree Vito did not look like the top tier contender that he is, and I agree it is a bright spot for the future for the US internationally. I do disagree that it doesn't show how good Jax is.
  2. I’ll be happy with/for either, both are really exceptional individuals.
  3. Streaks is a triggering word for some of us that went to high school in Brandon Florida.
  4. A lot of great ones 1-2 punches, but throwing some love to a smaller program in Edinboro, Aaron Schopp and Mitchell Port were pretty dang good.
  5. Dan Gable qualifies as one!
  6. Most likely not me looking up 50+ years of NCAA brackets! I'll say it is pretty cool to see dozens of names pop up again over and over through the decades and continuing today, whether it be brothers, cousins and nephews. There really are some "wrestling royalty" families out there.
  7. Gary McCall - 1990 1rst rd - Steve Martin (8) QFs - Doug Wyland (1) Cons Semis - Jeff Prescott (7) 3rd Place - Doug Wyland (1) This was fun to figure out while the better half evoked executive power over the TV to binge an 1800's based British drama.
  8. I think he beat 4: R16 - (1) Reggie Wright Consi Qrts - (6) Eric Schmiesing Consi Semis - (2) Jared Lawerence 3rd place - (8) Jared Frayer - who previously beat him in the quarters
  9. Mike Zadick in 2001 I believe is one of them.
  10. Tariq Wilson was close as well with 3 wins the year when he almost beat Seth Gross in the Semis. Same year as Conel's run, that was a super fun NCAAs.
  11. Likewise. I’ve gone to 9 straight NCAAs with my group of wrestling friends and we plan on continuing that trend. The one we were going to skip was Minneapolis thinking it wouldn’t be a great venue for spectators so we planned for the Olympic Trials at PSU instead that year. Covid had other plans… I still have the tickets for trials in a cabinet as a keepsake, maybe a prop for a younger generation to tell a story for how crazy that time was and we couldn’t even watch wrestling. I will be getting my eyes checked before NCAAs in Minneapolis for sure.
  12. Good point, saw the date but not the year.
  13. Possible mixup of names? https://www.yahoo.com/news/former-teacher-held-child-seduction-152500083.html
  14. Palacio tweeted about it if you want to check there.
