My wife cooked dinner for herself this evening, there was enough left over for me.  Really have no idea what it was, might've been vegan, I recognized the broccoli.  Since we are going skiing in the morning need the calories and ate it.  I'd post a pic but like I said ... I ate it.

All weekend long really.  It blows my mind that Rocco Welsh wrestled 3 overtime matches, almost 30 minutes, and his only stall warnings were meaningless because they occurred with :05 and :06 seconds left in the last overtime each time.  Oh, and he had 2 offensive scores in that half an hour of wrestling, both against Mantanona.

Yep, that was ridiculous. And the fact that Marcus Blaze does not take any committed attacks and does not get hit for stalling is frustrating as well.

It didn't decide the match, but Taylor got hit with stalling while Duke had a standing single and still in bounds.  I don't think I have ever seen that.

Noticed the same thing and thought that had to be a mistake. That was an embarrassing call, not sure what Taylor was expected to do. Thought Manning/Snyder were going to run across the mat and have a word.

174 yes but Haines probably wins anyway

184 absolutely. McEnelly won that.

Wrong and wrong.

It was an illegal hold with the legs that was reviewed!

Pyles was right there and spoke with the ref, who confirmed that time had expired.   The clock on the TV screen is not the clock that counts

Stall calls are a joke. Maybe Cael is right, get rid of them. It’s added an element of “I can stall if I’m facing the right way, I can’t wrestle if I’m facing the wrong way”. And wrestling for appearances’ sake. Meanwhile dudes that don’t take shots all match are spared from stall calls. It’s always been a “thing” but this season it seems worse than ever. And I’m talking about just the duals I watched… not even the egregious stuff that supposedly happened at Big 10s.

I mean what’s the worst that happens if you get rid of them? Dudes that want to stall will stall? Ok, then offense will evolve. Or at least make a clear set of criteria- no shots in a minute, stall call. No attempt to get up in 30 seconds, stall call. Whatever it needs to be, something refs can follow consistently. Edge stalls are a joke.

AND ANOTHER THING lol. It’s not even addressing the issue. Dudes are still crawling out of bounds for restarts. Dudes are still holding the legs while in top. Dudes are still faking shots to look busy. Meanwhile you have dudes that are getting dinged because they don’t turn their body the right way on the edge while their opponent takes a shot that will never turn into a takedown. It’s so, so confusing and inconsistent. And sure “don’t let the refs decide your match” is always true but they have been given that power so they are absolutely deciding matches.

I was curious how many stalling calls Penn State had against them this weekend (not just finals), so I went back and looked at the box scores.  In approximately 35 matches, by my unofficial count they had 8 stalling warnings and zero stalling points against them.  Davis was the team leader with 3 warnings.  Obviously much of this stat can be contributed them being very dominant at many weights.

the clock hadn’t expired when Max was behind him and 3 points of contact were on the mat. Commentators said TD at that point before the lift and drop to the mat.

I guess you were operating the real clock, huh and were right there on the mat, huh?

You are awful quiet about the fact that Nebraska completely choked in the finals.  How about blaming Manning and the team instead of refs and fans.  Manning is a hot head and stain

Probably because he was always coming forward. Hard to call stalling if you are pushing the guy back,

Nebraska was not involved in the match being discussed. I have not blamed the refs for Nebraska going 0-5 in the finals. The Minto figure 4 was unfortunate for sure. Max was robbed.

Manning will yell at an official to fight for his guys but his program hasn't had a guy get drunk and fight a cop, kick someone in the back, push anyone off an elevated stage, get popped for PEDs, arrested for soliciting a BJ, had anyone accused of stealing in the locker room, nor had a former Finalist and AA make allegations that he claimed was swept under the rug all in the last year.

Take a breathe. The officiating has been terrible this year and discussing it is fairly normal.  Enjoy the dominance your team just displayed and will likely repeat in 2 weeks.  I promise Manning yelling at an official or people discussing a questionable call isn't going to change any of that.
