I’m not a Gopher fan or Penn State hater.  Max Mcenelly got completely hosed.  Yes he shouldn’t have waited so long but even Walsh knew it was a Td.

I am in favor of no reaction time at this point. Nobody to blame but the refs for this consistently happening.

The refs do whatever they want to favor psu honestly. Stalling, illegal holds, reaction time.  Its bad.

Yeah, they really screwed McDanel and Taylor today.

I just root for guys who go for points, no teams in particular. I want Sinclair or McEnelly to win 184.

Your two statements contradict themselves.

Either you root for guys who go for points ot you want McEnelly to win.

Against Top 10 guys, McEnelly is 4W-2L.  All except his lone match with Sinclair (a 6-3 loss) was 4-1 or 2-1, all in OT.

With the well known beef between the two factions, too?  The choice of calling it needs to be removed, because the ethics of the sport are being compromised to suite the opposing agendas.

It is bad both ways.

100%

Can’t have half calling it one way and half calling it the other. It’s terrible.

Mark Manning?

A. Mark Manning is a whiner. All coaches are but he’s over the top

B. Penn State wrestling is the best dynasty in sports

C. That was a TD and Rocco knew it

Manning embarrassed himself in the finals with the "Penn State Officials" commentary.

I don’t support nebraska or Penn state and I thought there majority of calls went in PSUs favor.

How do you call McEnelly for stalling early when circling in then not call it the other way when it’s clear stalling. Also the td he had at the end looked like 3 both times without any reaction time.

PSU is the best team in the country no doubt but they don’t need the benefit of getting every call go their way… let’s hope 2 weeks from now is more unbiased

I think you can debate the second one against the clock but the first one was 100% a td.  Again, even Walsh knew it.

I’m confused.  Are you saying McEnelly doesn’t try to score points?

Not against anybody in the Top 10. Five of his six matches against Top ten opponents this season ended regulation with him having a grand total of one point.

So you don’t count OT against quality wrestlers ?

It's not that often that you go to OT if you are trying to score in regulation. Typically, you're either going to score or give up a counter score if you're taking risks. I am a big McEnelly fan, but his offensive output has not been much if any better than Welsh or Ferrari this season. I will say that I actually think McEnelly wants to score, and he's struggled getting to his offense where I think Rocco and Ferrari are more likely to actually go through regulation without trying to score.

The ACC Wrestling Tournament has about as much buzz then the Washington HS Class E Division 5 AAA Championships

That’s cute

I feel like anytime the 184 quartet of Sinclair, Ferrari, McEnelly and Welsh wrestle each other, I'm going to expect it to be a 1-1 match at the end of regulation about 80% of the time.

It's frustrating since it wasn't so long ago we had 184lbers like Brooks and Keckeisen who would light up the scoreboard every time.
