And as expected J. Edmond comes out and wrestles like crap.  Barely beats a 5-12 guy in overtime and then looks pitiful in a quarterfinal loss.  Great call Smith.  Needs to take a lesson from Taylor and put the best guy in, and if that means bumping a senior out, tough sh!t.

Truer words have never been spoken. Mendoza places top 4 easily here. He was working out yesterday and today with KOT, Seth made the trip, let him wrestle.

I’m as frustrated by Edmond as every other Mizzou fan but not as if we were pushing for a team trophy.  Mendoza will be better served by starting next year.

I disagree.  He did great this year when given the chance, and with the transfer portal there's definitely a chance that he won't get 5 years of wrestling in at Mizzou.  If he's their best option now (and a legit AA candidate), then he should be on the mat.

100%. I agree.

Did Sinclair really just get teched?  They had to have the score backwards on wrestlestat.

It's backwards. I had to research it myself. They got the two Aeoden/Aidan's mixed up.

Yep, scores were switched around. The Mizzou Wrestling twitter has Sinclair winning by TF. Talk about an upset for the ages!

Just got back and read all my Josh Edmond comments for the past few years.  Been in CoMo 5 or 6 years and nothing has changed.  That is squarely on this coaching staff.

He still has the backside to pull it out for a qualifier, but something has to change.

Mirror image of Barlow McGhee's Mizzou career.  Literally has stagnated or gotten worse every year.

Ryder went down funny versus Dean of Iowa Sate and it's been a minute of injury time but they aren't giving Dean his choice.

How can someone be down holding a body part, a coach and trainer come out to look at him and it not be injury time?

Ryder did not look good. My expectations from him are decreasing rapidly.

Great comparison. I had forgotten all about Barlow. Smith’s loyalty is great and all, it’s a pillar of the team. But we all seen this coming, times have changed. Start the best wrestler. By the way, what’s the story with Kade Moore? Hurt, or did Walker beat him out? Glad to see Gage do well. Hopefully the Kade ship has sailed. Two yrs in a row we pull Walkers shirt.

His shoulder is toast but it's unlikely he wins that match with two good shoulders.

Shilo Jones just did the Thomas Gilman slam from bottom on Rasmussen.  Rasmussen gets the win and hits the NDSU fans with the horns down sign.

What an @sshole.  Looking at the bracket it appears that Jones got DQ'd.  100% correct call.

Zerban with the mff for concussion according to the announcers.

no offense intended but did it look like a real injury in the first match or precautionary withdrawal because he's got an at-large locked up.

Guess I was typing while you were posting.  Scratching my head on that one.

Lol...I was looking thru brackets since I wasn't able to watch today. I'm not sure what happened there. I've noticed that he hasn't looked great over the last month. Probably battling an injury. Looks like Hawks is gonna get further in the bracket than Bates.

Trevor Anderson went down hard for UNI, they had to wheel him out.  Hope this kid is okay.

Similar thing happened a month or two ago, I forget what dual it was. He was able to walk off the mat that time but for this to happen twice in a couple months is not a good sign, especially when the head contact doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary.

Elam should for sure.  Who would have thought 2 years ago?  Welcome to the world of NIL.
